Just to clear a few things up

Yes, I'm Australian. Many people think many different things about us Aussies, so let me clear things up.1

You definitely know you're a true-blue Aussie when...2

- You know the difference between a thong and a g-banger.3

- You know how to abbreviate every single word...usually with the letter "O"4

Eg. Arvo, combo, garbo....lezzo.5

- If you're Australian you also know that some people pronounce Australia "Stralya"....and that's okay.6

- You know that Stubbies are either short shorts or small beer bottles.7

- A "gimp", "bogan" or "geezer" is a random idiot.8

- Someone who is in trouble is in "strife".9

- You also know that while we do call our friends "mates", we don't use terms like "sheila" or "shrimp on the barbie", contrary to popular belief.10

- In fact, we don't say "shrimp" at all....it's called a prawn.11

- when you see people walking barefoot on the sidewalk, you don't scorn...cause you're doing it too.12

- You know that Sydney 2000 was one of our proudests moment in history...basically, we FUCKIN ROCKED!!13

- You know you're Aussie because you drive on the left-hand side of the road.14

- One word: Skippy!15

- You know that Sydney should be the capital...because Canberra's a hole.16

- You thing think that footballers dressing up in drag on TV is funny....17

- ...but your son being gay isn't.18

- You only know the first verse of the national anthem...and you still don't know what "girt" means.19

- And you're okay with that.20

- You're an Australian who firmly believes that in the end, everything will be okay; and have offered the words of advice, "She'll be right, mate."21

- You know how to slip, slop, and slap like it's nobody's business.22

- You know that we definitely don't drink Foster's beer cause it tastes like shit...but we do let the rest of the world think we do....because we can.23

- You know that there's a universal place called Whoop-whoop in the middle of nowhere...no matter where you're located.24

- You know that a kid's party is absolutely nothing without fairy bread involved.25

- You've also made Vegemite worms using Vita-Wheats and Vegemite.26

- You know that our country was settled by thieves, murderers and convicts....27
