People would first mention a great sibling. You see, my brother has autism which is a disability in the mind. The doctors said he was never going to talk. When I was young, I would ask my mother, 'When is he going to talk?' and my mother would just shake her head sadly. One day, when I was 5, maybe, which would make him 3, he said 'Sarah' (which is my name btw) Ever since then, I have been a key person in his life. If its sticking up for him, or playing games with him, Im always teaching him key skills to life. He has come a long way and talks every day (which can get on my nerves some days) 1
Second, people would probably mention my love of life. I love to swim, wakeboad, innertube, listen to music, read, and take time to smell the flowers. This is an interesting subject to write on, but it really got me thinking, thankyou!

i've seen that comercial that 166 children are diagnosed with autism, i don't know what it is like but my twin brother is dyslexic and it makes him slow some times. my mom taught me that it is those that express themselves the least that know the most.

That was good.Do you really have a brother with autism? We used to know a guy who was 42 or 44 or so..his name was Kevin, he LOVED my dad and would always run to him and want a hug yelling "Gregg! It's my friend Gregg!" He was so nice..I am not sure what happened but I think he died..maybe not..idk. But I used to think that he was scary and weird...but now I think back about how nice my dad was to him..and how he just wanted to be treated regularly. I feel bad for those types of people but they probably don't want us to feel bad. Just treat them the same way we would treat other people. Thanks for helping me remember!

Yea, I really have a bro with autism. He has come a remarkably long way. Yea, your right, he would deffinitly want to be treated normally, too bad the people in his class don't understand that.
