The pain will fade to a dull roar but it will never fully disappear, just like your love for him. There are many things unknown to mankind and why someone won't love you when you clearly love them so much is one of them. I know this might not be what you want to hear right now, but there will be someone else and they will appreciate and love you just as you did this person. With time, this guy will realise what he's given away and he'll regret it.

You suffer this much pain and wish it would fade away like water drifting into the drains on the streets.
I'm sad to say this will not happen, love is harsh, it will draw you in and drown you, then an unwanted rescue will be sent to save you, but all it does is hurt you.
But that rescue could be the best thing for you, it i only sent when the love you are having is bad.
I love you stevie, but...., sometimes I don't know how to help, seeing you with those unhushed tears of pain and lost love, only brings back that day I lost my forever love, but I am your friend and I will stay by your side till I see that look of love back in your eyes, and that smile of happiness that graced your face.
