Monday Afternoon:1

Danielle walked out of the school gate to find Katrina standing waiting on her.
"Wa um is you had tuh tell me that you couldn't tell me at lunch?"
Danielle raised a brow,"Oh yehhh. I did wanna ask you bout Ava."
"Wappen tuh she?" Danielle asked.
"When was the last time you see Ava with we?"
"Not since she and Devin done and she got that Omar fella."Danielle looked up at Katrina and cocked her head to a side,"Why?"
"Nah sain I hear and wud hate to think it true."
"Man yuh doh start tings so n den doh say nun mo. Wuh you talking bout?"
"I hear-"Her cell phone rang just as she started,"Wait hold on....Hello?"
"Yeh Dani," a voice said,"You get d ticket fuh me?"
"Ohhh, Simmone yeah I got it."
"Wait, you din know who you did talking tuh?"
"Nah girl you sound sick."
"I am. gi Katrina and tell she gi me it."
"Um in nuh problem fuh me I cain out dey."
"Oh alright."
"Uh huh." Danielle put down the phone and looked up at Katrina who had drifted ahead and started to walk towards the bus stop. Danielle walked up and stopped her,"Wa um is you hear?"
"Man don't hurt you head bout um, I gine deal with it when I get home."
"Katrina wuheva um is um got you offset so lemme know nuh."
"I really in wanna talk bout it."
"Alright. Wa van you getting in?"
"Wuh you talking bout?"
"Van Trina van."
"Oh. I dunno just not 151. I don't think I can handle dah today."
"So d first ting dat come down den?"
"Yes." Katrina answered noncommittally. Danielle sighed and looked up the road at the van that rounded the corner,"That just happens tuh be 151."
"Man I really int bout gettin in dey."
"Den don't, I gotta pass by Simmone fore I go by my aunt and I waan get dey early." 2

Katrina stupsed as Danielle put out her hand to stop the van. She watched as Danielle gt in before getting in herself. By the time she had managed to stand up in the door properly Danielle was gone. The van door shut behind her and she leaned against it. The conductor came out from the back of the van. Katrina sighed and got up,"Wunna really bout mekkin me uncomfortable today boi."
"If you did wanna get comfortable you shudda wait pon 108."
"Next time I will cause this is rubbish."
"You only sayin so cause you waan get comfortable....Straight tuh town Ron cyan hold nuh mo." he said talking to the driver,"Shaun by the way."
Katrina looked at him,"Katrina."
"Part you live?"
"Brittons Hill."
Shaun smiled,"I hope u in nuh bad girl yuh no."
"Me nah. If you come outta Brittons Hill yuh does be bad?"
"Na not atall jus gotta mek sure I kno hu I dealing with."
"Oh...So part you from?"
"Pine."
Katrina stupsed,"And waan talk bout me? Wuh a pine fella doing pon dis route?"
"I used to live out hey, and I just filling in fuh d fella dat does normally work um."he shifted closer to her,"Besides I off from wuk tuhday."
"Work? How old you is?"
"Twenty one, and yes I does work. I does spend my day behind a computer playing games."
"Wa sorta job dah boa?"3

He grinned,"I working in d store my father does run but I does usually finish before I start so d games is tuh kill time."
"So you getting pay fuh doing nun."
He laughed,"Yup"
"I hear you." Katrina said as the bell rang. Shaun lifted himself up as the door opened. Katrina shifted to allow who ever was getting out room to pass. She looked up just as the transfer stood next to her. Shaun looked up, eyebrows raised,"You get transfer Tiffany?"
"I in had nuh choice. I in getting expel fuh Jameeka, Crystal nor hueva else dat ass I had fuh a man had or did got." she said slipping past him and getting out.
"You know she?" Katrina asked. Shaun nodded as the door shut again,"Das my best friend."
"Wuh she get transfer for?"
"She get in something with she ex man ex girl and dem had a big fight n ting."
"She beat she?"
Shaun burst out laughing,"You could get she cruel and find out fuh you self."
"Ohhh."
"When wunna cruise is again?"
"Not we one, dem old people one. Um is satda after next."Katrina answered shaking her head at him.
"Wuh old people?"
"D old scholars yuh nut, well de young old ones anyway."
"So bare old people gine??"
"No, um is a cruise fuh we but um int we school cruise."
Shaun shook his head,"I in get da but i hear you. You gine?"4

Katrina nodded and turned to look for Danielle but couldn't get more than a couple heads in front because of how crowded the van was.
"Hu yuh brekkin yuh neck fuh so?"
She turned to look at him,"Friend o' mine"
"She pon a fella sittin down."
"How you know hu i looking fuh?"
"You in mean de girl you get in with?"
"Yeh but i cudda mean somebody else."
He shrugged,"Tru."
"I hear you. Part you went school?"
"Garrison."
"Sheesh. No comment. I guess I gine see you round if I pass thru pine between now and de cruise." Katrina said as she got out of the van at the main guard. She rested her bag on the bench as she fixed her uniform.5

"If I didn't know you better I would ask you why you fixing you self."Danielle said as he got the van.
"You need to carry you tail I wasn't d one pon a man. Lord alone knows wuh wunna did doin."
"Look girl don't get me n you tie up."
"Uh huh." Katrina said rolling her eyes,"Part you aunt?"
"Home."
"Wait so all this time I hey sayin you gotta go by she workplace she home?"
"If you were paying me any mind when I said I gotta go by Simmone THEN my aunt yuh wudda know."
"Lata, Katrina." Shaun said as the van left. She nodded and shook her head at him when he continued looking at her and grinning. Danielle raised an eyebrow,"At least I know now why yuh did fixing yuhself."
"Suck my big toe."
"Never in a thousand lifetimes."
"Den leave me alone."
"You got you period or you just bout pulling a bf?"
Katrina stupsed,"Nun a d two you just pon igrunt scences."
