Sunset by an artist

Shadows and light , so be the world1

Thus created an artist2

For man sees light as no darkness , and darkness as no light 3

so they philosopise , solemn and wise , that man enjoys the ups as he knows the falls 4

and cheery they get at the downs , seeing an ebb afar5

but now I fear what if , there be no artist nor a light at the end6

what if another dawn is just a figment to get through the night7

what if the coarseness of life is as it is , with no beauty or design8

no ebbs from a fall9

what if the sun has set and shall never rise10

the artist is long gone , abandoning his design11

for he sees no road to lead all our selfishness to salvation
