T
hey speak gently of love and mercy,
8

Wearing well bloody fame
9

In garments of scarlet draped in pearls; 10

Self-made glory in shame: 11

These prophets appearing as God's Light.
12

They whisper vile lies upon a world 13

Rushing to their base games 14

Under a grace ever incomplete; 15

Thinking their sins are tamed: 16

Heedless of Satan's pit lacking Light. 17

    Profound...

Impressive and outstanding. I like poetic expressions in acrostic. TWIST TRUTH is an emphatic acrostic and message.

Much gratitude to the author of "Wearing Out the Saints" for sharing this acrostic.

    In respect and admiration,

    Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

    Fantastic

Beautiful work. True, and if I o say so, I think there is a reference to II Corinthians 11:13-15 in there (Am I right?).

I wonder how it is that I have just found you here. You are such a wonderful writer. It's been a while since I've added someone to my favorites list, but that's where you need to be.

Good challege, beautiful work, fantastic acrostic.

What is truth? Pilate asked Jesus, and waited for no answer. I sometimes wonder myself. Never live a lie. Best Wishes.

Those that twist the truth do more to harm God's Word than to ever help it. I'm sure one day they will have to answer for what they have done and there will be no opportunity to twist the obvious truth then. Well worded, Bonnie!~vj

Oh I love this acrostic Boonie and I agree with your poem. Yes, there are alot out there who pretend to love the Truth and yet somehow had twisted it or haven't practiced it themselves. I have come to learn my new-found faith, and I also pray that I will not follow the pitfalls of twisted Truth. Cheers to you! --ERIS--

Bonnie, hun you touched on not only a pet peeve, but also a major problem in the world today. I think it is just so sad and disheartening to see how many people really do not even know what they really believe or have no idea why they belive what they do. It would be wonderful if only everyone would pray to God each time they study and ask for His guidence with wisdom and understanding. "Guess I better hush before I get started." Great job writing this. love and hugs, Penny

I have to agree with you here. We have to pray for guidance and understanding so we aren't one who "twist" His Words. Very creative acrostic.

I hate to say it but you are very right in writing this. I don't know how many times myself or someone I know has turned the truth into what I/he/she wants to hear. It's really sad to say but it's true. No one wants to hear what's true; they want to hear what is the nice thing to say. If someone asks if they are a nice person, they don't want the reply to be "No you aren't." And not everyone is nice. We enjoy lies because it keep us feeling good about ourselves. Great job with this.

    Hugs
    Jess

bonnie, hi....God's truth is very straight forward...man turns the truth to suit himself...thus making the truth an unthruth...so many out there who say ..lo, here is the christ...turning the word into shame....claiming to represent God....these God has no part of.....hugs...love...brian..
