I am fascinated by the idea that the children being born the last few years are actually "from the stars". Either hybrid aliens....or just plain more "in tune". You can have a dialog between several children, who possess different powers...telekenisis...psycho-kenisis...etc. could be fun!1
Could make your characters any sex, age, etc. Also can create whatever "powers" you want them to have...2

Cute idea!! I think there's a lot of potential there, particularly if you had their powers become more powerful when certain stars were closer to them, or so on with how the earth rotates. This could be very cool!
