This is an idea I have been working over in my head, actually, and plan to use for my NaNoWriMo (http://nanowrimo.org/) this year. Focusing on a single character and doing whatever you want around them, tell the story of their life, backwards and piecemeal.1
I am going to use it to tell the story of Merlin since by some tales he started an old man, grew younger with time, and so "remembered" the future.. But I think it would be fun to try with any character or scenario (ie, It doesn't necessarily have to be the story of a whole life).2
I hope my prompt can spark some ideas for you or anyone else who stumbles across it.

Ooo, Merlin aging backward? That could be interesting! That would sort of make him an old man in Arthur's time, and perhaps a young man in our time? That could be a great story!
Awesome idea, thanks for entering!!
