Am I Really Alone? Chapter Two

The two lovers lay in the meadow together; Kira's head resting on Midoriiro's chest, listening to his heart beat. They were always together. It seemed nothing would ever break them apart, but they were wrong. 1

"Midoriiro..." Kira spoke, her voice soft.2

"Yes, Kira?" He asked, running his hands through her hair. It was soft as silk, and he always had trouble keeping his hands out of it.3

"I love you.."4

"I love you too, Kira." He smiled. This was the girl he wanted to be with the rest of his life.5

Kira let a smile cross her face, as she closed her eyes and drifted off into sleep.6

The scene faded; Kira disappearing. Midoriiro was no longer in the meadow, but in his house. And who was there, but Aiyana?7

"Aiyana? What are you doing here?" Midoriiro asked, stepping closer to her. 8

Aiyana looked up, her violet eyes gazing at Midoriiro. "I.. came to see you."9

"What? Why?" He was confused. Why would she want to see him?10

"I.. I love you, Midoriiro.."11

Midoriiro awoke, sweat dripping from his body. 'What the hell was that? Why.. did she say she loved me?'13

He quickly left the chair he slept on - Aiyana was in the bed - and dressed, pulling on a black t-shirt, and blue jeans, and leaving the house. He needed to go for a walk, sort out his thoughts, find out what the hell his dream was all about.14

Aiyana's eyes fluttered open, revealing brilliant, violet orbs. Sighing, she left the bed. She too had had a weird dream. It was her past; her parents abusing her, Midoriiro rescuing her, and that kiss he'd given her. What did it all mean?15

'I'm so confused now. Aiyana's only my friend, right? Who am I kidding? I don't even know what my feelings for her are anymore.. Damn it all..' Midoriiro mentally cursed, as he walked down the streets of Tokyo, heading towards the cliff that overlooked the ocean. That was his spot of rest, of peace. A place where he felt calm, like everything was at ease. 16

"Midoriiro?" Aiyana looked around the house, but he was no where to be seen. 'Where is he..?'17

She slipped on her shoes and jacket, leaving the house to find Midoriiro.18

Midoriiro stared out into the ocean, the waves splashing gently along the shore. The ocean was beautiful, and so calming.19

"Midoriiro?" Aiyana asked, coming up behind him.20

"Aiyana? What are you doing here?" He asked.21

"I.. came to see you.." She said, sitting down next to him.22

"What? Why?" He was confused, why would she want to see him?23

"I-I love you, Midoriiro..."24

'It's just like my dream... Her confessing her love for me. The place may not be the same, but the words are...' He gasped, "You do?"25

Aiyana nodded, "Hai. I know we've only just met, but I feel I've known you for an eternity."26

His eyes widened. He felt the same way. "I... I love you too, Aiyana..." He whispered, as he brought his lips to hers. 'I.. I feel like I'm betraying Kira.. but right now.. all I want to do is lay in Aiyana's arms...'27
