Quiet loner, grew up in the outskirts of Seattle. Moved to Hawai'i with her family when she was seven. Taunted in school because she was "haole" (white).
She quit school and ran "away" to the other side of the island to live in a commune when she was 15. Has lived there ever since. Grows herbs to sell at the farmer's market.
Has been estranged from her Mother, Father and younger brother.
They know where she is, and just want her to be happy.
Star-shine sews clothes, sixties styles and beads them. She sells them to the local boutiques. She is well and happy,
and doing what she likes to do...mostly enjoying life.

yeah, she wont fit in, but would be good fun to chuck her in and see what happens. Might do that as a minor character, depending on how the story turns out.
