"Hey, could you go a little faster? We're never going to make it to the party if you're driving like an old woman!" The girl whined, crossing her arms over her chest and pouting at the boy driving the porche. He rolled his eyes, lightly pressing on the gas pedal.1
"Well excuse me, ms. Speeder. If you haven't noticed..I'm going the speed limit. It's not -my- fault your license was revoked. Serves you right! Plus, any dent on this car and my father will kill me.." He mumbled, flicking the left turn signal at an intersection.2
"I think you missed the exit Bryan..We should have been there by now!" She groaned, staring out the window at the passing darkness. She twirled her blonde hair around her fingers impatiently.3
"Well if you know everything ms. smarty pants, turn on the gps. I bet I'm right on track..this is the turn, right?" He furrowed his eyebrows, glancing around unknowingly. The girl leaned forward and pushed the button on the gps; it's screen lit up immediately.4
"...Hm. That's strange. It says to turn right..I could have sworn it was left. Did you read that map right, Donna?" The boy glanced at her, some doubt in her competence sparkling in his sapphire eyes. She bonked him on the head, making a hmph noise and nodding.5
"Yah yah..look, we're close. It should be the house coming up on the left.." She mumbled, watching the screen's directions. 6
The porche began to slow, and the boy placed the gear in park, one hand out the window as he glanced at the house. 7
"Uh...Donna, you sure this is it? All the lights are off and I don't hear any music.." He mumbled, shivering from the cold breeze. She shrugged, pointing to the gps.8
"Maybe they're in the basement. I mean, hey, Kaitlyn did say it was Cop-proof. Let's go..before that pig friend of yours drinks all the boos." She got out, slamming the door and almost running to the front door. Knocking on the door, she tilted her head. She pressed lightly on it, and the door slid open.9
"Uh...Bryan..maybe this wasn't such a good idea.." She frowned slightly, glancing at him nervously. Now he chuckled, shaking his head. "Hey, I didn't drive all the way out here for you to give up so quickly. Look, I bet Kaitlyn's down there getting wasted and just waiting for you. Come on, let's go." He wrapped one arm around her shoulder, leading her into the pitch black living room.10
"Ya think we should turn on a light?" He squinted into the darkness just to see the outline of the girl beside him. His other hand searched the wall blindly, unable to find the target. He shrugged and then pointed to the open door before them.11
"Hey, there's the basement, I think I hear some music. Ladies first?" He smirked slightly, and she nodded, walking uneasily to the top of the pitch black stairs. 12
"Be careful..hold onto that railing, remember, Kaitlyn said some of her steps are missing.." He mumbled, one hand on her shoulder protectively as she began her descent around the spiral staircase. With each step, the wood beneathe her feet creaked. She held her breath, the faint sound of music getting slightly louder. She rounded another corner, taking comfort in Bryan's helpful hand. 13
"Is that...Moonlight Sonata?" His voice echoed from behind her. She let out a deep breath when she realized it was only her boyfriends voice. She turned back, although she couldn't see his face.14
"Moona lita sontata whatty?" She took another step before he could answer, and felt the bottom of the steps. A small light radiated from a tiny lightbulb in the back, revealing a small blank room. All of the walls were painted white, and she glanced back at Bryan, confused.15
"Uh...is this a joke? Do you think we're at the wrong house..? Bryan?" She watched him curiously, his expression strange and disfigured. Lifting a shaky finger, he pointed to over her back. She turned around, squinting to the far corner of the room..where she saw something on the ground. She took a step forward, her body tensing up as she took another, and then another. The outline of a body, crumpled up and bloodied was highlighted by the flickering of the light. Just as she opened her mouth to scream, the lightbulb blew out and the room was covered in darkness once more. 16
She began to run in the direction of the stairs, stumbling as she held her hand over her mouth to stop herself from throwing up. The smell of death began to flow into her nostrils, her eyes beginning to water. "Bryan?!?!?! Where are you?!" She screamed, flailing her arms out in the darkness, finding the railing of the stairs but not her boyfriend. She began to rapidly run up the stairs, around and around in the solid darkness. She was close to the top, and she heard footsteps behind her. She stopped, leaning against the wall to take a deep breath, waiting for Bryan to catch up to her. 17
"We...we have to call the cops Bryan...that woman..she was dead! Oh my god.." She closed her eyes, one hand covering her forehead which was drenched in sweat. The footsteps creaked the wooden stairs slowly, with no vocal reaction to her voice. One by one...step by step, creaking from the darkness. She began to back up slowly, up the stairs with her hands on the railing.18
"Bryan..?" She called down to the pitch black below. Still creaking..slow steps, around and around up to her. She could tell he was around the corner now. Maybe he would be able to hear her now. Ofcourse he would, he would have to!19
"Bryan..?!" No response. Another second..another step. She turned and flung herself up around towards the top..when she heard a door slam around the next corner. Her eyes opened wide as she rounded it, to see the pitch black back of the basement door, with no handle on her side. She ran up to it, throwing herself against it...banging on the door and screaming. 20
Another step. The creaking growing louder. Tears streamed down her cheeks, her back to the door as she stared into the darkness. Suddenly an outline formed. Someone..something hunched over..and carrying something...silver? She squinted, wondering what the bright silver was. And then she saw her horrified face on the edge of the silver blade, a few drops of blood adorning it. Another step..another creak, a drop of blood dropping. Her breathing raced...the sparkling eyes of the killer coming inches from her own...and then the silver above her head, and her eyes wide in horror...and then darkness.21
Author notes
I wrote this randomly off the top of my head...therefore it may have some spelling typos and well..it might suck. I'm big on suspense rather than on people jumping out at you randomly..so yeah...it's probably crappy >_>

Very cool!
Killer ghosts, brr. I like it, it isn't crappy. The dark old house thing is kind of abused, but the fact that they thought it was a party was pretty imaginative. Good luck with the contest! -
Thank you so much ^_^
