Dying Romance

You whisper softly in my ear
All those words I hate to hear;
You slit my wrists and watch me bleed
Then keep saying you're what I need. 1

I sit and stare up at the sky
And keep asking myself why;
You had to show your darker side
I almost wish that I could hide. 2

My mind is dripping crimson tears
As you confirm all of my fears;
Your trembling hands they reach for mine
As the cold wind hits my spine. 3

The rain hits down upon my face
And soaks right through to the lace;
Your passion always drove me wild
But now I feel just like a child. 4

My memories they are so bleak
As my soul is growing weak;
My nightmares are coming true
And it's all because of you. 5

The fire's burning a deep red
And I'm mixed up in my head;
My body's trembling from the heat
And I slump down in defeat. 6

I always try to get away
But you beg for me to stay;
A lesson that I have to learn
But you're a bridge I just can't burn. 7

So lay me down and close my eyes
I'll try to forget all your lies;
When you sleep I'll stab your back
Think of me as it fades to black.
