Bringing darkness to light 44

The action in PART ONE of the script, the fight scene. See 55

Video of The Bourne Identity with Matt Damon. See the making of the film and hear the commentary of the director in the additional details. 66

Read the book, The Bourne Identity, and compare with the film. See how the action is maintained, and the scenes are condensed by edits. 77

Now comes the parody of Snow Crash. The making of a 16mm film is in the Metaverse, using the software, Antics3d, to create scene direction. 88

Life imitates Art. "In the lingo, this imaginary place is known as the 99

Metaverse. (p. 24) (c. 1992, paper) (SF Stephenson) (Neal Stephenson) 1010

We are creating the Metaverse. It can be seen. It does not really exist. 1111

Each backdrop of a scene against the green screen stage is a photo or image from the real world, which you seen only in Antics. You start the backdrop, the image appears. You load the green screen stage and start the time line. This is your acting cue. Follow the directions. 1212

A robotic arm will follow the Antics directions shooting your every still. 1313

These stills will be recorded on 35mm still film and mailed to editing. 1414

Obviously, we are a budget film production. So you are not likely to end up on the cutting room floor. There is no cutting room floor. There is no editing. Just composition of your still photos in backdrops for Antics. 1515

The 35mm film stills will be converted to 16mm film black and white. 1616

Yes. We film in color and convert to black and white film 10 min. long. 1717

So what kind of scenes: 100 days of shooting of .1 minute scenes or 10 minutes of footage. Its editors are you the actors. We are cutting costs. 1818

You act the film, you direct the film, you film the film, you edit the film. 1919

And you share in the film profits. Suppose the budget is $10,000. And the film makes $100,000, then you share in $90,000. If there are 10 actors, then you get almost $10,000 each, if you put up $1000 each. 2020

Of course, you have to pay for the screenplay writers, the advertising, the models, the clothes, the camera, and other expenses, etc. So you might make half of $10,000, at 100 days, that is $100 per day freelance. So you are making $10 per hour, just like your day job. 2121

We are doing a parody of Snow Crash with Hiro the detective and Y.T. the gun moll. It’s a Noir picture with Sam Spade and Miss Kitty. It’s a Alexander and Alexandra Hay Mystery. You know what I mean. Only the characters are not real. The Metaverse of Noir is not real. 2222

We are entering this Noir picture in a contest in Italy in March 2009. 2323

The backdrop photos are dark and deadly. It is to make the action and directions interesting and meaningful. To make winning cinema you must reach out be Noir characters but you are also Snow Crash parodies in a Second Life Universe. You must be as cool as they are. 2424

This is an interaction between screenplay writers with a Noir script and actors choosing parody parts clothing and backdrops that are dark and mean; deadly and deadpan. You take the film shots. You act the shots. You direct. You edit the shots. It's your shoot. Shoot to kill, please. 2525

This is a group film101 enterprise. Black and white film costs $100 per roll. You can get a 16mm camera. You can get a 35mm still camera. 2626

This is interaction Web 2.0 with text messaging, email, blogs, websites, script searches, the whole x generation thing. It's your day! 2727

No one says you cannot make a film in just 30 days. You have 100 days! It's not the writers, it's not the stunt men, and it's not the directors. It's not the money men, it's not the advertizing men, 2828

and it's not the front office. It's the actors! It's the united artists. 2929

Make yourselves up with your make up. Shoot yourselves with your stuff. Attach yourselves to significant others. And work 100 days. 3030

But remember this in 100 days from this day, you will or you won't. 3131

Your film life is on the line. And like Hiro, pizza delivery is all out. 3232

And do not think that Y.T. is going to save the delivery. You are in the pool. You have to get out, all out. 3333

If you think, this modeling job or acting job or camera job or production job or directing job or editing job is for you, then join up with the foreign legion and fight some real battles in the Metaverse! 3434

Only the lonely need apply; you will never be lonely again! 3535
