The Last Moko!

My Dad peered over the edge of the watchtower. I had climbed to the top of the bell, and Furai, my pet tiger-cub swung playfully at the rope. "Do you see anything?" I called out to him.1

"No, how `bout you?" I stood up and gazed around me. I was about three at the time. The view must have been amazing... But I can't remember it now. I can hardly remember anything of my childhood.. except for the look on my Father's face as I was torn away from him. 2

Anyway, back to the story.3

I saw something in the distance. "There is something over here!" I called to my Father. He ran over to the edge and peered over. He made a grunt then walked over to me and picked up Furai.
"Lets go," He called over my shoulder. I doubted that this thing had anything to do with the 'destruction' my Dad had mentioned earier in the week. I scrambled after him, patting Furai's tail, which really annoyed him.
