A brick falling from the sky hit me square on the head in the form of my realization. The book is my portal. A machine, a transport to the life I always wished I could return to. Though now thinking back I do recall 'wishing' to go back in time to escape all my problems. I guess this is the only way to do just that, go to before they were even alive. I have wished those certain people in my life dead more then once. Oh but will this be better. I hope to my lord it will be, I have gone through too many horrible times to be forced into an even bigger tragedy. 1
I walked gracefully down the long hallway of stone arches and tiled floors. Cold were the walls of rock that I touched. The people around made it even more so. Their negative energy casting of chilling waves of particles. Their talk consisted of the Japanese and family deaths. I coursed through every memory from school that I could think of that had to do with Japan but only got that the capital of the country was Tokyo. "Sorta reminds you of sushi doesn't it?" I asked aloud causing a few of the students around me to glare in my direction. 'That is why you can't remember any of those Social Studies classes. All you can remember are your mealtimes' I smiled at the people around me while contemplating the voice in my head. I kept walking speaking to myself in gentle whispers trying to figure out what was happening and what was going to happen. In my aimless walking I managed to pass a Television store advertising the newest in Tellies, Color! I glanced at the TVs all showing the same huge mushroom cloud rising from a smoldered city in God knows where. I kept on my walking but stopped suddenly when the news anchor announced, "I WILL NOW ANNOUNCE THAT IN THE PRESENT YEAR 1941, THE GOVERNMENT OF OUR UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HAS DECLARED THE WORLD WAR THAT WILL CAUSE CATASTROPHES AROUND THE PLANET! JAPAN WILL FALL!" 2
My heart stopped and the world faded black...

oooh...wow...you had definately led the story up an interesting path..what will happen now...can the character get out of this immminent danger..wow..great spin and it really does give the next person such a fun place to go with it...great work
