Melody

Nature is not by disposition a silent being; even in the stillest of times a symphony is heard just outside the blurred walls of human perception, unregistered by those with deaf hearts. But he was not one of them. He listened intently to the trees bowing like cellos and the grass-flutes bringing their shrill harmonies to the melodies of the cicadas and grasshoppers, duets resounding about the acoustic air of twilight like an instinctual folk tune, played and perfected from the time when the world was born. It was in this Night Symphony that he attuned his body to nature, and it was here he found home.
