Gloomy Day

Everything was perfect on that gloomy day...The sun was nowhere to be found...The day they met in the rain. He looked into his eyes; Pools of mystery they were...He could see the misery and hurt he had been bestowed all his life. 'Who would destroy something so beautiful?' he asked himself...Never taking his eyes off of the porcelain beauty, he wanted to own, and set upon his shelf. This boy was a prize...A gift sent from....Somewhere, though he didn't know where. He watched as the rain splashed against his ivory face, as he smiled, feeling the water dropletts trickle down his body. What brought him to the graveyard, he had no clue... But greatful he was, as he took the boys hand. The grave stones were cracked and broken,...The greyness of the day made the boy's jet black hair all the more contrasted against his pale skin. The deathly pale boy, took a seat on the ground underneath the shelter of the oak tree, and found himself staring into the mist, as his friend sat beside him. "Beautiful isn't it?" The raven haired beauty stated,...His dark eyes full of nothing but enjoyment, and lustful for the rain. The taller boy only glanced at him, and smiled, fixing his gaze back on the gray day. 1

He could find beauty, in the smallest of things,...The scariest of things. He found this boy beautiful, and nothing would change his mind. The boys makeup ran black lines down his face, giving him the beautiful illusion of previously crying tears. He sighed, and slowly touched the boy's cheek, as if not to startle him...Surprised at how he leaned into the touch of a near stranger. He didn't want to say it....No...How could he? Five minutes in the rain, is all it took for him to fall in love with him? Insane. He sighed again, remembering he didn't even know his name...Longing to know, he whispered the request in his ear. "Jarrod" the boy replied, with a smile spread across his beautiful face. 2

After that day, he swore he loved the rain...And still loves Jarrod to this very day. 3

I will admit that I was confused at first, but I understand it now...and I love it. I am into the while guy/guy romance, but few people dare to write those kinds of stories. Thank you for this wonderful read.

Awww how nice. I'm not much into guy/guy, but you did a very nice job of keeping the reader even though this is short. Liked the word choice a lot too. good job.
