My Journey-Part Four

"Paul!" I called out for him but I could not see him or his things.1

I suppose it is for the best this quest is my own and I must see it through that way. So I walked Eleave down a path that I had found and we reached a small village in which a farmer and his wife told us the direction of Apolon. 2

I never noticed at the time and did not learn untill a year later that the the fairy Gilda was following me and was trying to learn about me. She was a very curious fairy not many take time in figuring out identities but to try and solve world questions. Although Gilda was not a normal fairy at all she had some tricks about her that will be proven later in the story.3

No encounters for this part of the journey in fact it was the easiest part of the journey. When I reached Apolon I smiled. I had done it me a princess had made it to the city of Apolon. Everywhere you looked there was a person or child smiling. Now I remembered why I came and why I had to in the first place, to save these people.4

I rode Eleave as fast as I could up through the village and to the castle where I hoped that King Harold would recognize me again. Harold a good king like my father had been, came to my mothers funeral and told me not to cry. He also came once for a ball when I was 13. After begging a guard almost to death he decided that he would take me to see the king.5

The king was sitting on a tall throne that was chiseled out of gold and his crown was silver with rubies. The purple carpet lead to him. I felt like I was home again, only four days away from home and I missed it so. Then from a side door burst in Paul. I felt like screaming at him but it looked like Paul was angry as he marched up to the king without bowing or being announced.6

" Father, how dare you send the guards after me. I do not wish to be chained up like a slave anymore. I shall live my own life free of overbearing kings and princess suitors!" He shouted at Harold. I almost felt like fainting his secret was that. He hide his royal blood and I had hidden mine, it was so terribly ironic.7

" Paul you will leave me now for I have company perhaps we will talk about this matter latter when we are alone." Harold spoke with a deep voice that you could almost feel in your ears.8

It was then that Paul looked to see who his father was already meeting with. When he saw me his eyes widened and he did not speak for a few seconds.9

" Your highness." I said to him and his father as I curtsied.10

" Eve, I didn't mean to leave you the guards showed up and took me away I did not mean to abandon you alone in the woods please forgive me." His voice sounded so sincere. Meanwhile Harold was trying to figure out what was going on.11

" It is alright Paul. I did not have any trouble getting here after. You and I both held our secrets. Since you have given away yours let me share with you mine. I am Princess Eve, daughter of King Stephan. I have come to see his royal highness King Harold of the Assinian's. It is a matter of great importance." I spoke now with no fear, for I had a quest to finish.12

" Eve, I remember you and your father. Last time I saw you, you were but a little girl now you have become a fine young maiden very much like your mother was." King Harold said. Paul was still in a state of shock and just averted his eyes as if I were to royal to be looked upon.13

" Yes you highness, now please there is something we must talk about and we must make haste." I took on a serious tone.14

So I told King Harold and Prince Paul of general Dorian. I told them about how my father had never been the same and was poisoned by the advice of his General and how Dorian had muscled Peri out of leadership. Then I told them of the coming danger and warned them to defend their city by all means necessary. Harold believed me and Paul remained silent. Harold said he would summon his army heads to a council and that they would have enough time now to move everyone into a secure fortress that had been built a long time ago, it was stocked with supplies always in case of war. They had not used it because they never had enough of a warning time before. He thanked me and invited me to a banquet that night. I was about to accept when I heard a noise. It was the trumpet call of my country. Just then Dorian and three other men in armor burst into the large hall.15
