I remember a time, only a few years ago, but it seems ages since 8th grade and freshman year, when I would sit in your room listening to music and inhaling the scent of you. 1
I remember walking to the Moore’s, I remember going slot car racing with them. I remember nights at the bowling alley, listening to Ozzy's crazy storey’s. I remember crawling out of your bed at 7 am and walking home as the sun rose, trying hard not to wake you up.2
Do you remember when we were young? Walking through mallard lake, kicking stones into the water, watching the wind move the trees, rustling their green leaves lazily in the summer air. I remember the smoky area in the bowling alley, where the pool tables used to be (Their gone now you know, they put the arcade there). I remember kissing Ozzy and the way my black lipstick smeared all over her face and mine, and how much we laughed (We were the freaks, and we didn’t care). 3
The time we noticed Scott had the same jacket as me, and you got me to open up by giving us a common bond. I can’t believe he’s dead. I remember him when he was clean. I remember him before heroin. I remember tasting his cigarettes on his tongue, and smelling them in his hair, skin, and clothes. 4
Walking through your door before going to coach lite, having the dogs go absolutely nuts, and standing in your room waiting to leave. The nights we sat there talking for hours on your bed. I can still remember the smell of your room, of your cloths. I remember you with that long blond hair we all envied, and when you cut it I almost cried. 5
Do you remember the Springfield trip in 7th grade? When I borrowed your Metallica Cd's? That’s how it all started.6
I remember fitting in with you, but never being at ease. I remember being the tag along friend. And I remember being in awe of you. You were so social, shining in the spotlight. You were always so happy, and when you weren't, you were pretty when you cried.7
These memories came flooding back to me today, With the question of "what happened?". Do you remember when we went everywhere together, almost one person in two bodys?8
Do you remember when we grew up? Because I can’t remember the exact time when we grew up and apart.

memories are such an important thing..good or bad...since memories are all you have you have to keep them close and write about them often...this is a great write because everyone can relate to this some how...great job!...

its great to look back at the memories you have of someone and know that through all the things that happened, you were great together and had some great moments. Im sorry you and your friend drifted apart, i had the same thing happen with a friend of mine. I still love her though. There are a couple of spelling mistakes in here; cry-ed should be 'cried', cloths should be 'clothes' and borrowd should be 'borrowed'. They're very minor though, and the only faults i could find with this! I hope your friend gets to read this, its a really nice look at how your friendship evolved and how it eventually fell apart. Keep on writing
