Untitled 3/29

Thursday Night:1

“Are…are you breaking up with me?”2

“Yes, I’m sorry, but I have to…”3

“B…B…But why???”4

“I have to, this relationship is unhealthy…for both of us…I’m sorry.”5

Could this really be happening??? 6

The entire room started to spin, the colors swirling together as she came crashing down from her high. Then she heard the voice again.7

“I’m sorry…good bye.”8

And with that she hung up her phone, and looked at it flashing 3:21.9

Is that possible even? Could that really have been only 3 minutes and 21 seconds?10

But she didn’t even have time to finish her thoughts when she heard the familiar voice of one of her friends bringing her back to reality.11

“Hey are you okay? I’m really sorry,” he said.12

And that’s when she realized that it all really was over, and that was it, she couldn’t hold the tears back any longer.13

“It’s ok, it’s all gonna be ok,” she felt her friend’s hand rubbing her back. “Come on, let’s go for a walk or something.”14

“Ok,” she managed to say as she got up and tried to find her shoes through a blur of tears.15

As they walked down the street together, he just listened to her as she cried and talked about him, and how great she had thought their relationship had been going. After a long walk, they turned around, and walked back to her house. He leaned over and hugged her.16

“It’s gonna be ok. Call me if you need anything, if you need to talk, whatever it is just call.”17

“Thanks, if I need anything I will call.”18

“Goodnight.”19

“Bye.”20

And with another quick hug he left. After that she went upstairs to her room and closed the door. She sat down at her desk and started to write. She wrote three notes, one to her family and friends in general, one to her friend who had been there for her all night, and the last one to her now ex-boyfriend. When she was done with that, she got up and went over to the shoe box at the foot of her bed, and began to dig through it. After a few minutes, she stood up, and in her hand she held an old razor.21

Slowly she made one cut on her left wrist, and just watched the blood slowly gathering on top of her skin. Then she made another, and another, each one getting a little deeper. After about three minutes, she stopped. She sat down on the floor, and just watched the blood run all over her skin and clothes for a little while. 22

As she sat there, she thought about everything in her life, but mostly just about the last month and a half, and all of the memories made the tears start again. The tears rolled off of her face, and onto the cuts, causing them to burn. The blood and the burning brought back even more memories, but this time of the past that she had been trying so hard to forget for two months now, and it had seemed to be working…until now. She picked up the razor again, and began to make more cuts, this time all over both of her arms and wrists. Eventually she stopped, and dropped the razor, and just sat on the floor curled up and crying.23

Soon she began to get cold, and things began to get dark and blurry. With each second that passed, she got colder, and things got darker, until eventually everything turned black.24

Friday Morning:25

Her mom woke up early and decided to go talk to her because she had heard her crying the night before. She walked across the hall, and knocked on her daughter’s door. There was no answer so she knocked again, this time harder, still no answer, so she decided to just go in. Nothing in the world could have prepared her for what she saw when she opened that door.26

A cry escaped from her lips as she ran to the phone to call an ambulance. As soon as she hung up the phone she ran over to her daughters’ body, lying on the wood floor in a pool of her own blood. As she held her daughters’ dead body, she noticed the notes on the desk. Slowly she got up and walked over to the desk. She saw the note addressed to “My friends and family.” She cried harder as she reached out to pick it up. As she read it she couldn’t help but cry harder and harder. Just as she finished reading it, she heard the ambulance pull up, and she went to let them in.27

At The Funeral:28

Her mother saw him walk n, she saw him sit in the back of the church, she saw the tears in his eyes. He had broken her daughters’ heart, and she felt that she could never forgive him for that, but she knew that she had to give him the note that she had found addressed to him. Slowly she got up and made her way to the back of the church.29

He saw her coming, and he didn’t know what to do. He knew that she must hate him now, and his mind kept telling him to run, but his body was frozen right where he was, sitting in the back of the church. And she just kept getting closer and closer, until she was right in front of him.30

“I found this addressed to you,” she said as she handed him a folded piece of paper with his name on it.31

“Thank you, and I’m…I’m really…sorry,” he struggled to say, trying not to cry again as he took the note.32

He knew he had to read it, he knew this was all his fault. Slowly he got up and left the church. He walked until he got to the park where they used to sit and talk. He sat down by one of the trees and read:33

My love,34

I am sorry. I am sorry for being such a horrible girlfriend, and I completely understand why you dumped me. I wanted you to know that I still love you, and I will love you forever. I’m so sorry, but I have to do this, I hope you’re not upset, you really shouldn’t be. I love you! Please don’t forget me!35

I LOVE YOU!36

As he finished this he could no longer hold back the tears. He couldn’t believe that he had broken up with her. As soon as he did it he wanted her back, and now there was no way to get her back…ever.37

After just sitting there crying for almost an hour, he finally managed to get his tears under control and walk home.38

One Week Later:39

For the past week he was unable to think of anything but her, each day his depression was getting worse and worse, and his family and friends were getting more and more worried about him.40

That Saturday he woke up and got dressed in the outfit that he knew she had loved most. He said goodbye to his mother, and left the house. First he walked to the store and bought two dozen daisies because they were her favorite flower. He kept walking until he got to the cemetery, where he went directly to her grave.41

When he got there he was already crying uncontrollably. Slowly he knelt down and put the flowers on her headstone. Then he reached into his jacket pocket, and pulled out a gun. Quietly he whispered: “I love you forever too, and now I can be with you forever.” With that he slowly raised the gun to his temple, and pulled the trigger.42

The shot rang out through the cemetery, and in front of her grave stone lay his limp dead body. Now they could be together…forever.43
