1. What is your full name?1

- I prefer to just go by Joel, simply Joel, but if you must know my full name...Joel Dwight Madison.2

- I was born March 8, 1986 in a New York City hospital.4

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)5

- My dad's name was Kevin James Madison. He was an abusive, idiotic, drunk who didn't know the meaning of anger management. He was part of the N.Y.P.D. until the law caught up with him and he was charged with several counts of battery. He was condemned to fifteen years in prison.6

My ma went by the name Cheryl Anna Madison, but by birth she was Ana Rodriguez. She changed her names when she came to the states with her family for personal reasons. I can't recall her ever having a job when we lived with my dad, but once we left she had two jobs. One working at a diner as a waitress, and another at a hotel as a cleaning lady. She was a kind woman who gave everything for me and my sister. She died four years after my sister was born.7

- I had one younger sister, Alina Carol Madison, who was eight years younger than myself. She was a sweet kid and more intelligent than I ever was when it came to school. She loved to be read to when she was little or liked just listening to people talk to her. She died shortly after her tenth birthday.9

- I live in some crap-ass apartment with four of my co-workers. I share a room with Spike, but Blane, Tasca, and Serenity each have their own rooms. We all share a bathroom, so things get hectic in the morning while we're trying to get ready to go into the office, especially since there's five of us and two of the five are girls. Our kitchen is small, but always stocked with food because if it isn't Spike throws a fit. There's a small area that I suppose could be considered our 'living room' with two ratty couches and a broken television set that only gets two channels (some Spanish channel and a movie channel). The place is generally well kept, considering Blane is one hell of a clean freak who gets his outbursts and just has to go on a cleaning rampage apparently.11

- I'm an official Reaper for Section Fourteen, or as some people call it, an escort of souls.13

- Hmm, rather personal, but if I must... I'm probably around 6'1" and weigh at least 120 pounds. Thanks to my parents I ended up a mix of caucasian and Puerto Rican. When I don't dye it, my hair is a dark chocolate brown, but I was never the crayon who conformed to Crayola's grand 96 crayon box design, so I dyed it blue. Like my hair, my eyes are a dark brown that some even dare to call black. If I had it my way I would always wear sweat pants and a tank top, but sadly I'm normally caught wearing the Society uniform which, may I mention, is HIGHLY uncomfortable. I have one tattoo of a dragon wrapping around my upper right arm and two scars with one on each wrist (suicide).15

- While alive, low class, very very very low, but here in the After Life...well we don't have social classes but if I had to label myself under one...lower middle class.17

- My ma singing and dancing while cooking dinner before my dad got home from work. The minute he got home, all hell broke loose... It was the first time I actually ever saw a him strike my ma so violently.33

- I got through my Sophomore year of high school and then dropped out to work full time and take care of my sister.35

- Yes, especially when I was younger. It kept me away from the fights at home for the most part.37

- I tried to get along with my dad, constantly trying to win his affection, but in the end that turned out to be a bust. My ma, you couldn't keep me away from tagging along with her. Me and my sister always got along well because I took good care of her.43

- I think it was in the eighth grade with some girl named Shanna. I don't think that relationship lasted two days.53

- That's rather personal, don't you think? Haha, no I'm not a virgin. I lost my virginity a little after I turned fifteen with a girl named Angela. THAT relationship last two weeks.55

- I'm what they call a Reaper. While I was still alive I lost my sister and it drove me into a downward spiral of insanity. I stayed in a mental hospital for two years before they declared me sane and let me out. Unfortunately I was no better than I was when I first was put there. I commit suicide and learned, shortly after my death, that I wasn't allowed to enjoy the peace death would bring. No, instead I was cursed to be a collector of souls. I learned how to master my Lazareth (Reaping weapon) thanks to Blane's training.57

- My sister's death because that was the turning point in my life that lead me to where I am today.59

- There are a number of evil things in this world, but the top one is treating someone cruel or causing some kind of harm to another being.93

- I come off as rude to most people, but once someone gets to know me I can be pretty cool. Also, I believe you have to earn respect, so once someone earns it, I'll respect them as long as they give it back.107

- In life it was Alina, but now it's Tasca because I love her, even if people seem to think it's wrong.109

- Blane, because even though I don't act like it, I do look up to the guy. He's a good guy with good morals.111

- I have friends, or at least I consider them friends. Spike, Serenity, Tasca, and Blane. With Spike we have a sarcastic but friendly relationship for the most part. With Serenity we're just able to talk and understand each other so well because our pasts are somewhat similar. Tasca because I love her...no other reason. Blane has to got to be my best friend because I would trust him with my very life. He's just always there for me.113

- Well I'm in love with Tasca, but she doesn't return my feelings. She is rather harsh and sarcastic, but she has some charm that attracts me to her. 115
