Kyoni's eyes opened to the smell of breakfast. The sun beamed down on his face, welcoming him to the new day. 1
Kyoni got changed and ran downstairs to find Higaro waiting for him.2
"Ok you two, mostly Kyoni. I am going to let you go Demon hunting again today, see if you can do any better than yesterday!"3
The brothers stared at Higaro, mouths agape. Kyoni's face then became more serious.4
"Please explain. I promise I will not fail you this time, Sensei."5
"Listen closely. I am giving you the same drill as yesterday, alright?" The brothers nodded.6
"Difference is, this time, I want you to switch territorys." 7
"Switch territorys..." Kyoni muttered. His mind melting into darkness and fear. Not fear for himself or his brother but fear for the Demon. A race Human kind shunned and despised, yet Kyoni couldn't shake the feeling he needed to protect this Demon. Kyoni couldn't even begin to imagine what would happen if Rukai got his hands on the Demo-. His thoughts were interrupted by Higaro.8
"Ok, you've got from now til sunset, start!"9
Rukai was ready he charged out the door, sliding it open so roughly that it broke.10
Higaro sighed and watched Kyoni charge out after him.
