Author notes
Love encompasses a lot of things. But one of the biggest is hate. It is said that Love and Hate walk a fine line, and I am convinced this is true. To hate someone is to show passion about them, even if it is negative passion, and this means that you care. It means that you love them. True 'hate', really not liking someone, not caring about them, isn't hate, it is indifference.
I know that in a relationship, I am happy both when I love, and when I hate someone. THe moment i don't feel anything at all, i am indifferent, or don't care. That is when i should worry, because to not hate them, means I really, really just don't care any more. So, when I think of love, i also think of hate. It is just a different part of the spectrum.

Wow, this is a very new perspective. o__o
I love hwo you explain this. And this makes a lot of sense. ^^ Hate makes you actually waste time thinking of someone.

i really really like this explaination- it has a lot of truth. hate is a strong passionate feeling, and so is love... they are relatated in every way, including beingthe same in some strange way. very very cool.

Yes...it mirrors it. Can't have love without some small measure of hate too! Great job with this!

I don't believe in hate, so i don't agree. But everyone is different

Great job.!

very true. I think that's why there's so many divorces now a days. People don't see how fine that line is and don't know how to cross back over it from hate to love.
And yes, not feeling anything for a loved one is the worst thing in the world. I hate it when I feel that indiference or emptiness. It scares me a lot.
