"Know God's will... God, how can I know your will?" Me1
"Listen." God2
"...I am listening... Otherwise I wouldn't hear you now." Me3
"Why do you have to hear my voice to listen?" God4
"How else?" Me5
"Through things." God6
The point God was making to me was that we spend too much time trying to hear God, and we miss Him around us. How can we know what He wants for us? Pay attention to what He's doing for us and around us... listening with your eyes.7
Then I got to thinking about a catchy title to show this epiphany (or whatever you want to call it) off, and I thought "Listen with your eyes; See with your ears." But now I have to think of something really profound for the seeing with your ears thing lol, but I thought about this..8
See with your ears.9
Since we're watching and observing God around us like we're supposed to be, now our ears are occupied as being eyes, so what we see now is what we hear God out of... or that's what it's supposed to be... Yeah.. it sounds kinda like they're one in the same, and I guess they are, but since we were busy before trying to hear God with our ears, we were focusing on one sense and missing other things. Now that we've switched jobs, our ears are seeing, and our eyes are listening; one for the other. So now, what can we possibly miss from God?10
Eyes are listening is a simple one to explain.11
Actions speak louder than words. When we see someone do something, we are listening with our eyes and making immediate assumptions.12
But seeing with your ears is a harder one.13
When God speaks to us, we hear Him. But if we truly listen, we can begin to get an idea of what He wants us to see. Ha! That was where I wanted to go in the first place but then forgot where I was going until just now. I hate that.14
Anyway, I hope you get this message, and feel free to share your opinions.15
