Faro's Tail - Chapter Three

Faro's Tail1

Chapter Three2

Anyia hit the sand with her fist. This was all wrong. Her tail should have gone as soon as she hit land. She couldn't let anyone see her like this! She sighed but she want to scream her frustration. "Damn!" She hated herself. Why did she have to go in the water anyway? If she wasn't so selfish this never would of happen-3

What was that? She twisted round. A voice. "Anyia? Anyia, come on! I know I was a little mad, but know you are just being immature! Where are you?" Oh no. Sari. 4

Anyia grimaced, and pulled herself as fast as she could into the ocean.5

She felt that weird feeling again. As if a huge weight had been lifted. One difference. She was panicking. She had to get away. Fast.6

With a flip of her tail, she was about a mile out from the beach. But where was she? She had gone off course. She was far, far away from where she wanted to be. She was Lost. In the middle of the Ocean.7

She closed her eyes. Great. Well, there must a some form of life here. Plenty of starfish. They were always willing to help... She dived down, deep, till she was nearly at the bottom. And what she saw... Oh, what she saw!8

Below her, a underwater city lay. The houses were beautiful, but their tranquillity scared her. It was almost too quiet, too peaceful. After all, there were Mer down there... 9

"You will stop." Anyia turned around. In front of her swam two muscular mermen. Their powerful tail blue tails shone in the gloom. "That was an order," One said "Not a question." Anyia trembled. Their silver hair was gleaming fiercely. These Mer could knock her out with a flick of their fingers.10

She didn't know where they went after that, she was too frightened to notice the surroundings, but as soon they had arrived inside a huge building. Seaweed was creeping up its crumbling walls, and the remains of the paint was peeling of its windows. In the middle, an old man floated, his slivery grey hair hanging in a halo around his head. He looked her up and down. "You are part of our clan..." He said "But you are... part human."11

Anyia was not surprised. She had half guessed he had known. She could she it in his eyes... "Fellow Friend! I have... Anyia?"12

She recognized that voice. It was Faro.
