and sometimes you just need to whisper

She stands up for what she believes in
Only to be the only one standing
But she doesn't sit back down
Instead she opens her mouth
And speaks out loud13

At first her voice just echos
In the room filled with people
Her hands tremble
Her voice shakes but she continues anyway14

Someone please hold me
I just lost a piece of my heart
Actually, it's a rather large chunk
It's all because he walked away
From me to her16

She's not real like me
In fact I know she's artifical
I think she'll hurt him
So someone hold me close
I'm afraid I'll fall apart now17

    I really liked this. There was a mistake I noticed (I think it's a mistake). After line 7, you wrote "sometimes you need to scream to be hear". I think you meant to say heard instead of hear. Other than that, I think this is good. I especially like this type of poetry that you're writing because I'm feelin that which you're writing about.

    your mind and mine can't be that different, because this really made sense to me. ive had it happen, just recently, and this calls to me. i like "I just lost a piece of my heart

    W-o-w. Love it! :] It really speaks. They make me sad when I think about how many girls and guys have gone through loosing a part of their heart because that one person doesn't think.
