The Horseman

She was running from him, because he had a knife in his hand. She thought to herself, 11

"how can he accuse ME of being the murderer, I know he did it, I just know it. Hes trying to finish me off, because I know he did it."22

Marie stopped suddenly at the corner, for she heard his footsteps grow closer, She knelt down on the ground and grabbed a broken pipe.33

As he came around the corner she took a swing at him knocking him to the ground, before she took another swing he screamed out,44

"Marie I know it wasn't you who killed all those people."55

"I know, its was you"66

She hit him in the chest with the pipe.77

John than grabbed the pipe and pulled her to the ground.88

"listen it wasn't me ok, and I now know it wasn't you."99

"what are you talking about?"1010

"I saw him, hes on horse back and he knows we're alive, we have to get somewhere safe NOW!!!!!"1111

"maybe the school, thats where this all began, he wouldnt expect to find us there."1212

"ok fine, plus there are many classrooms so It would take awhile before he finds us, if he does decide to look for us there."1313

So John and Marie ran to the school about 2.5 miles down the street. As they walked down the hallways of the empty school, the quietness was almost earie, as this time of day, the school is usually packed full of students.1414

Marie thinks about this and begins to cry.1515

"Marie, why are you crying, I know this sucks but trust me everything will be ok. Just stop crying, If he comes looking for us he will her you."1616

Mary sniffles a bit.1717

"Ok, its just that, it was only three hours that today was a normal day, we were with our friends, life was great, and now.... well.... they're all gone"1818

"Don't think about that, it will only make our situationworse, what we both have to think about is how the hell are we going to get out of this alive."1919

At that moment they heard a horses footsteps, John and Marie grew very quiet. They didn't even dare to breath.2020

John took out his pocket knife, and whispered.2121

"Mary I'm going to get my vengence on this guy, I dont think hes as smart as he thinks he is."2222

"No. John its too risky, this guys a psycho"2323

The horses footsteps were getting louder and louder.2424

"Marie I'm going and when I attack, you need to run somewhere else."2525

"Your an idiot, if you think Im gonna let you go out there and kill youself."2626

"He will find us eventually, he fond all of our friends, so what in Gods name do you think he wont find us."2828

They stopped whispering, because the hoove steps stopped right in front of the classrom door.2929

John stepped behind the door waiting for him to come in.3030

Than there was a knock and a voice said,3131

"Hello I heard you guys whispering in there, trust me I'm not the horseman, my names Derek, I go to this school. I found his horse outside of this school and stole it."3232

"Derek!? John let him in, hes my best friend."3333

John at first hesitated, but than swiftly opened the door, grabbing him and holding the knife to his throat, pressing only hard enough to let a little blood trickle down."3434

"Let him go!!! hes my best friend, he wouldn't hurt anybody, trust me."3535

John led him to a chair and orders Marie,3636

"Find some tape, or something to tie him down."3737

Marie eventually finds some packaging tape and hands it to John. As John is tieing Derek to the chair Mary walks over to the horse and pets it.3838

"Who do you think would be insane enough to do something like this?"3939

John spoke and said,4040

"I don't know, someone who apparently doesn't value life."4141

Derek spoke up,4242

"We seem to be the only people in this school left, so it could even be one of us."4343

"how would you know?"4444

"I said seems didn't I"4545

"Ok this whole thing is just stupid, we need to get out of town some how."4646

"Are you crazy, The nearest town is twenty miles away, we will never make it."4747

"well we can just stay here than."4848

"I agree with Mary, its our only chance of survival."4949

"Says you, your her boyfriend of course you wouldn't hurt her, or maybe you would, your just waiting for the right moment to kill us, hat way you would seceed in killing everybody."5050

"Thats nonsense,I wouldn't kill you or anybody else. Now are we just gonna sit here and rot, or are we gonna get the hell out of here, I stole the horse, we can all three fit on it."5151

"Ok, fine"5252

John untied Derek.5353

"Marie you used to ride horses didn't you?"5454

"yeah"5555

"In that case you get to ride in front, Derek can ride in the middle and I will ride in back."5656

This horse was a beautiful horse with its gleaming silver fur, and soft black main.5757

As they were halfway to the other town, they arrived at a desolate spot with a small pond. John said,5858

"lets stop here and let the horses have water."5959

So they demounted from the horse and as they let it drink, John had something to say.6060

"Marie, I love you, you are very beautiful, and even though you and Derek were only friends I was jealous of your relationship...."6161

Marie interrupted,6262

"What are you talking about, I could've been your friend if you would ever just talk to me...."6363

Derek interrupted,6464

"You didit!!! You killed everyone, why did you, John why!?!?"6565

John smiled evily,6666

"Why not, why not kill the people who made me feel worthless, I left you guys alone because you made me feel the most worthless, so I wanted to get my vengence on you in the most exciting way possible...."6767

Derek punched him in the face.6868

"your insane, you B****, how could you do thjis, nobody had anything against you. F*** you"6969

John pulled him to the ground and stabbed him in the temple. Marie gave out a scream and turned to run.7070

"where are you going to run to Marie, theres nowhere to go"7171

Marie turned to him.7272

"Please dont kill me please, I never knew you felt so alone, please John please forgive me."7373

She got on her knees and begged, looking up at him with her big blueish eyes"7474

"Its Too late, you did this to me! You will suffer. Marie I've loved you since kindergarden, yet you killed me slowly, but dont worry you will die much faster."7575

Marie started to run for the horse. John threw the knife, which landed right between her shoulder blades, she fell to the ground.7676

As tears rolled down Maries eyes she said,7777

"John Im sorry, I should have said something to you, at least hi, I didn't know, please its not my fault."7878

"John gave a short laugh as he ended her life."
