Have you ever wanted to take every star in sight and crush them in your palm, or maybe you just want to forget that they're just big balls of gas? I wish I could, I've been stuck on this ship too long.2

I've passed millions of stars since I was born here, but does any of that matter? No, since the great war began a small collection of cruisers set out for our nearest galaxy counterparts. We gave them all the same names, sort of.  Earth, then a fucking number. A number to describe arid deserts and freezing cold snow plains, a number for grasslands that stretch to the horizon. Beauty and originality faded so long ago, all the great artwork and books burned in the fights between two religions. Its nice knowing how humankind and its various races can turn against each other because of one country, because they couldn't just set their differences aside and split it half! There were other things of course, things that our governments never tell us. Things that would turn your mind to stone if you saw what was really going on.  I shouldn't write them in here, this little stack of notebooks isn't safe, my head would be on a pike if this ever got out. My knowledge is wide, and keeping secrets is the best thing I can do.  Even the neural scanners can be fooled with the right equipment, and science is a cold, precise art and I suppose there isn't anything left to discover. 3

I'll write this up later, we're landing on Earth 189 soon. Without a hyperspace drive there was no way to get here instantly, we had to do it by travelling fast, well, faster than your average spacebuses could ever go. I couldn't understand why we didn't go to Earth 2 instead of travelling all this way to go to somewhere exactly the same. 4

Exactly the same? No, Earth 189 has a very strange past. 20 years ago, 6 years before I was born, a plague came and turned the inhabitants of south Earth 189 into raving lunatics. Their skin crawled with a virus that made them go into fits, clawing at their skin untill they tore into muscles, the only problems was that underneath the skin of a victim, they were ravaged by a black cake of infection.   Scientists were apparently 'baffled' by this Virus that plagued the inhabitants.  It came like it went, without any warning at all.5

I should go, we're landing and I need a check up, why do I have the feeling I won't ever be writing my irrational train of thoughts in my trusty diary?6

Author notes

This is the first draft, I'm writing this as a little practise in using diary form to tell stories, while using other methods. I'm well aware there are alot of mistakes, but maybe it'll be alright once I get better <_<
