One day when dinosaurs where still about the first man is alive. He wondered what was going on for a minute. But, he had as much intelligence as a fly. He said ''flipping heck, this place needs doing up''. He got the dinosaurs in a pen and made the worlds first zoo. He said I will call it a zoo. after he built the zoo he built a lab out of bamboo and palm leaves. He got more and more inlelligenet. He was working on a chemical called fuel. He made the fuel out of oranage juice and tree sap. Then he dug for something he could put the fuel in he found somelhing. He worked and worked for months on it he finaly finished. One night he looked at the lights in the sky. He thought I wish I knew what they are and thought ''of corse! I shall explore them!'' He got at the metal again and shaped it in to a spaceship. He found out one day that more people were evolving, he got them to be his crew they all took supplies. But one dinosaur broke free one sabber toothed tiger a mamoth and two lizards all broke free and hid. They were all ready for blast off, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF! there was mission control on the grond so every thing was o.k. So they bodly went where no one has gone before. They were at warp speed 4 they finaly came to a stop. This was some of the crew, No.1 was mr Bamboo, No.2 was Mrs Parm, No. 3 was mr trotin Burgh, and the one who beemed us up was mr soot. They were by a planet. Captain Bones sent down a search party down to the planet. ''Beam us down mr. soot.'' they looked round the planet, they got samples of rock, but then they saw some aliens. ''get off our planet'' they said ''before we chase you off.'' ''beam us up mr soot ''OK.'' They went off with the aliens chasing them. But we got to another planet. On the planet was even more aliens. They shot at us with their phasers. Get in our ship But then the aliens were going after us. 1
They got us but we only lost a bit of power. we shot of at worp speed 20. Then mr. Bamboo said ''we'l blast of out of here at a worp we've never tried before.'' ''O.K. no.1'' said captain Bones. Then they found themselves by a planet. The same thing happend and some aliens went after them. All three space ships fired and they got them. captain Bones landed on Earth. the rest of the crew landed somewhere Else in space. But one dinosaur one saber toothed tiger one mamoth and two lizards landed by captain Bones. So it wasent captain Kirk who first explored the heavens.2

I wrote this a long time ago. As you can no doubt tell it has poor grammar and spelling. I wanted to maintain the non-standard English, so you can read it from the position of a child. In year 5 my class was given a picture of some animal and human bones, and we had to describe through a story how they got there. This was what I wrote, I don't think anyone expanded on the image to the extent I did, well they certainly didn't make reference to Star Trek. Please Comment.

haha, this is ace! at first i thought you were just going for some surrealism, but it really outs you as the sci-fi fan you always have been! i've found some stories from when i was little, simillar vein to yours in that they don't make full sense to people who...aren't me. Though at the time I knew exactly what I wanted to say, sometimes you're carried away with writing it and just assume others will understand. It's great anyway, and i like the "call-back" (to use a comedy term) of the saber tooth tiger and dinosaur, etc. at the end. That shows a pretty good understanding of narrative structure from a young age, all mine just have odd unresolved parts so it was nice to see some conclusion with those characters. Anyway, as a whole, this is a fair original idea, and on that basis, good sir...I applaud you! p.s. Bones a star-trek refernce as well? how could the doc have explored everything?!
