The Devil (chapter 2)

Chapter 21

Indigo stared around as she heard a voice, "Don't leave me...don't leave me..."2

The voice grew stronger as it came nearer, but nothing was visible as mist surrounded her. Inside her it was burning, and she felt weaker every second. She tried to scream but nothing came out. The pain was suddenly swapped for boiling anger. She kicked the sea as it sprayed her. It was pulling her like a magnet. The mist made nothing visible at all now. If she was stronger, she could escape. Darkness surrounded her as she fell onto the sand...3

"Indigo, are you alright? Indigo?" a voice whispered in her ear. She could just about hear it, but she couldn't recognise it. She slowly opened her brown eyes for hers to meet with the hazel eyes of a boy.4

"Do I know you?" asked Indigo as she slowly got up. 5

"Ermm...I guess...not," he muttered, "I'm...um...Jake. Yeah, Jake."6

"I'm Indigo, " she replied, "You know, it really isn't hard to say your name."7

"Oh, yeah. I guess I'm just...nervous. I haven't really been this close to girl before."8

"Well you can't be that nervous if you're right next to me." she stood up to have a proper look of Jake. Auburn hair, pearly white teeth..."Wait a sec!" she said, "Lets fast forward to the part where you said 'Are you alright, Indigo?' How do you know my name?"9

"Long story!" he quickly said, "Anyway...lets go back to my place. I have something to show you." And Indigo followed him, unexpecting what was going to happen next...
