Too Sudden A Feeling2

Her name was Analise J. Kayton, or K for short. She had just got her bachelors degree and was moving into a place on her own, 898 Illusion St. His name was Richard Z, or Ritz. Sad thing was, he didn't even know what the Z stood for. He lived by himself in a place he found about a quarter-mile in the woods. Being as social as he was with his neighbors, he walked behind Analise as she fumbled for her keys.3

"No need," he said, kicking her door open. "These things don't lock no matter what you put in 'em." She stepped back from him, he had been so stealthy that she had no idea he was behind her. He blinked, confused at the expression on her face. "I'm not usually the one doing the greeting," he said, brushing away his neck-length, chestnut hair and holding out his hand. "My name's Ritz, seeing you just got here you should know that you'll see me frequently...so...you?"4

Noone had ever asked her that before. "K....just call me K..." she stammered.5

"hn..." he snickered, pushing his rectangular glasses up on his nose to inspect her again. "Okay then, K" he smiled at his joke, but then flashed a stern expression. "See that forest?" he pointed off in the distance to a long road going far through the trees. "About a mile away is LifeShadow park. Noone on this street has gone there, and from what Ive heard, litteraly heard, It's not that good a place." He invited himself into her house and flopped on the couch, opening up her laptop. "Got any music on here?" She gave no awnser, still in shock that he had just barged into her house. He sighed at got out a CD from his jean pocket, downloading it to her computer. He turned to look at K, his attention finally off the computer. "You ok?"6

She looked down. "Yeah...I'm....I guess, happy. In all my life I dont think I've received as much attention as you just gave me in the past ten minutes."7

He smiled in return. "Well, I'm honored" He looked down at his arm, fingering a black bracelet. "here." He put it in her hand. "Just something to make sure you never forget me, I dont have that many good friends myself, so at least remember me if something happens." He got up and started walking out her door.8

"Wait." she walked to him and gave him his CD back, unable to look him in the eyes. He smiled at put it in his pocket, continuing out. As he got in the doorway she ran up and flew her arms around him, silently crying onto his polyester jacket. "Bye.."9

He diddnt turn around, but she knew he was smiling as he left. "See ya..."10

Thirty-Eight smiled. He had been 'observing' K and Ritz, and was floating back to the park "Two birds with one stone..." he wispered and licked his blood-stained lips as he went to tell the council the news.11
