A ring

A ring is something that is a circle, that is supposed to be more or less without end...My life is like that because of my family and my friends and everyone who I touch, whether physically or emotionally, is brought into that circle and that means that the essence of who I am will live beyond my life. And that is basically me and basically what I wish. But I am not an ordinary run of the mill ring. I'm a diamond 3 stone princess cut engagement ring. I bring joy to many people, I bring tears to others, I know for sure I frighten some people away, well not some...ALOT. Well let's see, When I'm rubbed right mentally and physically, I shine in that particular area. I have so many cuts but each one brings out a different facet of my personality. They bring out things that appeal to different people. And like the different cuts of rings, I haven't found anyone who likes them all except the Creator. I'm like a diamond solitaire ring- Brilliant but only by itself: I seem to become less brilliant with each other like me that is added to my life. But I'm like the setting on an eternity ring, All those around me only add to my shine. A plain ring is me as well cause I'm as plain as any plain jane you could ever meet.
But I think I'm most like a ring because I think that like a ring, my life, my mind, my heart, my soul... me is where fantasy, reality, dreams, creativity, the essence of love, life, some pain, some grief, happiness, hope, joy, peace, committment, trials,...Me is where everything meets and makes something that is unique to each who beholds it.

Author notes

I know it's not really story format. But I think this is how I see my self kinda. Well let me know what you think.

This is a great metaphor for who and what you are! Actually, since it's an extended metaphor, it's actually a conceit - but either way, the figurative language is great. I like the idea of a person as a ring, encircling all and without a beginning or end. You might try editing your formatting etc. I know it takes a little while to get used to all of that at Storywrite - especially when adding a story often messes up your returns. You can always go back and edit later, though, by clicking on "Edit" and the top righthand side of the screen. Very nicely written. Best of luck to you with all of your future projects, and welcome to Storywrite!
