Casey's Love 2 (do not read if you haven't read the first one)

School dragged on for hours. I couldn't wait to get into Casey's bed. We were both so anxious, we decided at lunch that we were going to skip the rest of the day. Casey said she had a dentist appointment and was going to walk up to her mom's office and her mom would drive her to the dentist. I made it look like I had thrown up in the bathroom and walked "home" sick. In fact, I had walked to Casey's house and waited for her on her front step.1

I saw my beautiful girlfriend walking down the street, not twenty minutes later. Only it wasn't just her, but another girl was with her. She stopped on her front step. "Nadie," She said in her soothing voice. "This is Holly." I gave Casey a confused look. "Can I talk to you for a minute," I asked. "Alone." I took Casey's hand and went to her backyard. "I thought it was just going to be us," I said quietly so Holly wouldn't get upset. Casey smiled. "I know, but she's so nice, and she's a lesbian, it's like it's too good to be true!"2

"What about me?" I asked. "I DO have feelings you know."3

"Oh, so you odn't like her then?"4

"I've never even said one word to her! I thought you wanted me, not her." Betrayal and sorrow spread across my face and tears formed in my eyes. She didn't even seem to care. "Look, she's new, so we need to show her a good time." My tears melted away as quickly as they had appeared. I clasped my fingers around the gold necklace Casey had given me and ripped it off my neck. I threw it at her feet. "Do it yourself."5

When I got home, my anger and courage had dissipated and my eyeliner was running down my cheeks. *Why would she do that to me?"* I asked in my head. I unlocked my door and ran to my room. I slammed by door shut, nearly breaking it off the hinges. I dropped my bookbag near my bed and collapsed onto the blankets. I slid under the sheets and buried my face into my pillow. I heard the door open but didn't try to stop crying, I knew I wouldn't.6

It was my mother. She sat on the side of my bed. She put her hand on my back and rubbed it gently. I was surprised she wasn't yelling at me. I guessed when I was better again she would drop the shouts on me. I didn't care though, I was happy she was there.
