Raven

The room was dark; dimly lit by a small lamp that was placed in the corner. Raven lay on the couch, casually flipping through a magazine, when the vibration of her cellphone broke her concentration. She stared at it, her luscious red lips pursed, and set the magazine down. Getting up, she drew back the dark curtain over the window just the slightest bit, and looked out. The street was empty. She answered her phone.1

"Hello?" there was no greeting in exchange. Just a cleverly disguised voice.2

"Raven. I need you. Be sure you're not followed."3

Without any further information, the line disconnected. Sighing, Raven, whose real name was actually Sarah, put on a long, dark coat over her clothing and went out through the back.4

It was late evening. Raven casually glanced over her shoulder every now and then, making sure she wasn't followed. She paused to look in the window of a store, and quickly ducked into the adjacent alley. She hid in the shadows and waited, but there was no sign of movement, and so she continued, until she came to a small metal door with a tall man leaning against it.5

"Let me in." She demanded.6

"Raven, you know I can't do that. Unless you tell me-"7

"Irish coffee, now let me in!"8

Grinning, the man stepped aside and let her through. He followed her with his blue eyes, making a trail from her long, silky black hair and finally resting on her swinging hips.9

The door closed behind her, and the light cast eerie shadows across the room, but she didn't falter. There were tables of rough looking men scattered across the room, and at the far end was the bar. Raven was vaguely aware of their eyes stroking her curves, despite her unflattering jacket, as she left the room and entered a long hallway. She knocked on the heavy mohogany door that was at the end. Two bodyguards stood motionless at either side, and then the door seemed to open of its own accord.10

One might expect the open door to reveal an office, with a large desk and a chair that was turned away from the visitor. However, there was a long couch that took up the whole length of one side of the room, and several smaller couches and chairs that were arranged neatly around a glass tabletop with stone jaguars holding it up with their hunched shoulders. The table sat comfortably on a fluffy, llama skin rug. There were a few men relaxing on the couches, each with scantily dressed girls on their laps and drinks in their hands. The girls watched Raven's outfit distastefully, but underneath the heavy jacket was a body that outclassed theirs a million times over.11

An exceptionally tall man rose to greet Raven, his red streaked hair just sweeping at his shoulders.12

"Raven..." the voice vaguely matched the one on the phone.13

"Levi," Raven greeted, her soft features serious. Levi placed a hand on her shoulder, and it lingered there for a second too long before he allowed it to drop back to his side.14

"There is a job that I need done. And you're just the woman for it,"15

"What's his name?" Raven asked. Levi's lips curled into a smile.16

"James Leighton," 17

Raven's lips tightened, but there was no change of expression on her face. Levi searched her eyes, for anything, especially refusal.18

"Can't you get any of them to do it?" she gestured at the girls that stared at the two of them so intently. Levi shook his head.19

"James knows you. And if anyone is lucky enough to see that body of yours, and live, they will want you again. As I've always said, you're the very best woman for the job,"20

Raising her chin slightly, Raven give Levi a lingering stare before turning her back and walking away.21

As Raven walked home, she though deeply about what she had to do. Levi was a hit man, and he employed guys, and girls like Rave, to do his dirty work for him. She had done this job many times; seducing unsuspecting men, taking them to bed and then killing them. She had never done it on someone she knew.22

Let alone, someone that she had once been involved with.23

****************24

The next night found Raven on her way to the city's most popular night club, where she sometimes worked, especially when she was doing one of Levi's jobs. She was wearing the same long jacket, and a pair of black, strappy high heels. She entered the club through the back, where a few girls were looking into a mirror, applying makeup, and achieving a look of unmatched, exotic beauty. But even they could not match Raven's. Raven took a seat next to one of the girls, and shook out her lovely, curly hair. With a soft brush she smoothed down the loose strands, applied a light layer of lip gloss. When a line of about six girls entered the dressing room, Raven knew it was time. The girls that were there previously walked, single file, through a large red curtain. Behind it was a stage, a few steps, and then six poles spread across floor in a line. 25

As Raven walked towards the poles, she slowly undid the buttons on her jacket, inch by inch revealing her body. She tossed the jacket aside, the last of the material falling away from her to reveal wide hips, a flat stomach and full, but not over-sized, breasts. She was now dressed in a skimpy black mini skirt that showed her milky white thighs and a netted black top that clung to her shapely figure. She grasped the pole with her right hand, waited for the music, and started to dance.26

When her set neared the end, she stalked up to a man that had been watching her intently for the whole time. He had stunning green eyes and dark blonde, almost brown hair. She moved her waist on his lap, casting his hands away as they moved forward to touch her.27

"You can look, but don't touch," she said, smiling like a feline.28

"Sarah..." The man whispered her name in a low, husky voice. He wanted her. She bit her lip and danced harder, smiling, but secretly wishing she were elsewhere.29

"Take me after,"30

With that, she walked away, leaving him in a daze.31

After the first part of her job was done, Raven did not walk to her home. Instead, she was in James' car, on her way to his apartment, and back in the safety of her jacket.32

"Sarah," James looked at her longingly. "It's been such a long time,"33

"Yes, it has," she said. But not long enough, she added mentally.34

She cringed inside when he rested a hand on her thigh and began to massage it, slowly going up. By the time they reached inside of his apartment, he was kissing her and taking off her jacket, his hands hungry for her body, and other parts of him too. Playing along and actually beginning to get into the mood, Raven undid his shirt and slipped a hand into his pants, massaging him and listening to him moan while her breath was hot on his neck. He grabbed her ass and pulled her into him, stealing the breath from her lungs and making her tongue stroke his neck.35

Quickly, James dragged her upstairs and threw her on his bed, slipping his shirt off of his shoulders and tossing it on the floor. He lowered his full weight on her heated body and put his hand under her skirt, slowly pulling down her panties and massaging her in the process. She lay almost still, her back slightly arching, waiting. Her hands moved to his pants, and her finger closed around her dagger that she had slipped into his pockets when they were downstairs. Just a couple more minutes...36

James took off his pants, and lifted her skirt. He was ready, and so was she. He grasped her hand and put it on him, and she sat up, putting her other arm around her while he enjoyed what she was doing. It seemed as though he was close to coming, when she raised her hand high and drove the dagger into his neck. He rocked back, making an odd gurgling noise, and collapsed on top of her, his blood making a dark red pool on the sheets.37

Grimacing, Raven pushed James' body away from her and wiped her bloody body on the sheets, trying to clean the blood off. This was the part she hated most. 38

Levi's part of her job was done. Little did he know, the second phase of her plan was just beginning.39

**************************40

About a week later, Raven met Levi in his 'office' to recieve her payment. He seemed to be happy with her job. He had his men go in and dispose of the body, and cover up the evidence.41

"How about we go for a drink, and celebrate your latest accomplishment," Levi suggested, flashing her his famous smile. Usually, Raven would refuse, but this time she smiled seductively and accepted. Levi looked surprised, but pleased. He then led her to his car.42

They sat silently in the car, while the radio blasted some sort of rap. Frowning slightly, Levi switched over to a rock station, which was playin Avril Lavigne's newest hit. Content, he pulled up into the parking lot of a fancy diner.43

Raven smoothed her black dress over her thighs as Levi ordered the drinks. He took hard wine, while Raven settled for some champagne. Raven pursued conversation until she was sure that Lavi had had enough alcohol, and when she though the time was right, whispered in his ear.44

Smiling, he beckoned to the waiter, and payed with cash. Then, they got into Levi's car and drove to Levi's house.45

On his bed, Levi peeled Raven's dress slowly off of her body, his eyes devouring every inch of her. She ground her hips seductively on his groin and felt him harden. As she kissed his lips, she tasted the wine on his breath, and her heart raced. He took off his shirt first, then his pants, as his fingers traced Raven's every outline. He put them into her, and she moved on them, making sure that he was in a complete state of unaware. His pants lay n the bed, a pocket bulging with something that Raven was touching with her toe. 46

As Levi moved on top of her, Raven's toes curled around the gun. She dragged it slowly from the pocket, her attention mostly on what Levi was doing. She wrapped her legs around him and put a hand on his shoulder, slowly moving it down his back. In one quick, smooth motion, she grabbed the gun from her foot, pushed her hand between them and shot him in his chest.47

With some difficulty, she pushed Levi's dead body off of her, got dressed and left his house, leaving the gun on the bed. 48

That was the last time he would take advantage of HER body.

before i say anything, i saw a few things you could fix if you wanted to. i get grammar mistakes all the time, and i could care less, so if thats you, skip down to the stars and forget about this stuff. paragraph 21, the sentence "Raising her chin slightly, Raven give Levi a lingering stare before turning her back and walking away.", Give needs to be gave.
in paragraph 22, you put though and you just need to tack a t at the end to make it thought.
in paragraph 27, the sentence: "When her set neared the end, she stalked up to a man that had been watching her intently for the whole time." i think it would sound better if you just took the word for out, so it would be, "...that had been watching her intently the whole time."
paragraph 35, this part, "his hands hungry for her body, and other parts of him too." doesn't really make sense. if you changed him to her then it would make more sense though. or maybe i'm just being stupid...
and paragraph 44, You put "Lavi" instead of "Levi" and you did the though thing again, instead of thought. i noticed some other minor things but i didnt want to be to much of a moron all in one comment. just some peer editing for you...

Alright, i thought your story was amazing. It had some erotica in it, but not so much that you get distracted from the story. The story was predictable, but i doubt you were going for a major plot twist, so it worked out for you. characters were easy to get into, you did well explaining them and with dialogue. The whole overlying idea of the story was a cool concept to. Like a Mrs. Smith kind of assassin. good job, i liked it.
