The Blood Moon

BANG! I shut the car door behind me. My name is Sam, I am 12 years old I can’t tell you any more, it would be too dangerous, some people still hunt my kind. . I was in the car with my 16 year old brother Joe and my 12 year old friend Alex.1

Quickly rain began to fall on the dark forest lit by the full silver moon hanging in the deep black sky. The whole world changes at night, I thought as the car left the city and went into the forest that surrounded it. By now the roads had disintegrated from a smooth tarmacked surface into a rough gravel track. Suddenly a flash of lightning ripped across the sky.2

Slowly the car spluttered and coughed to a stop. Joe Tried to Re-start the car “it wont start” he groaned. 3

“we’ve got to ring for help” I said “Try your mobiles” suggested Alex in a frightened voice. I fished mine out of my pocket and checked it “no signal” I replied “me too said Joe and Alex. “you two keep trying Ill go look for help” I said.4

I climbed out of the car into the pouring rain and stepped of the road and walked of in, what I hoped was a short cut. I looked back and the road had vanished from sight. I suddenly felt cold and alone.5

Then I saw something. A shadow flicking between the trees. I ran. Then I saw it. Twice as tall as me. Covered in messy grey hair. Razor sharp claws. A head of a wolf.6

I Ran. Then my foot hit something and my face hit the floor. I turned over and it was right above me, I froze. I felt its teeth close on my shoulder and everything went black... 7

    Excellent job.
I actually enjoyed this story. It was short, but that's all it needed to be. It was also mysterious, to say the least.
I liked it very much, and wish you all the luck in my contest.
Keep up the good work, and I'll keep reading.
