NESL The Descendants Part 10

He looked over at the notebook, “Did that happen to Darren?” he asked.1

Leena breathed in deeply, “We’ve got to go,” she said, “Now.” she said.2

She went past him and went to the closet. She came back with a duffel bag over her shoulder. She set the bag on the floor and grabbed all the notebooks and set them in the bag, “Come on,” she said, pulling at his sleeve.3

“Where are we going?” Zac asked.4

“We’re going to find Ben and Terry,” Leena led Zac through the house.5

Zac pulled to a stop when she dragged him outside, it was still dark, “Wait, stop,” he said.6

“What?” she asked, “We got to go.”7

“Go where? Who are Terry and Ben?” Zac asked.8

Leena looked down at the ground, “I really don’t know for sure. I just know that they are like us; different.”9

“Do you know where they are?” Zac asked.10

“I think Ben is in somewhere in Wisconsin.” Leena looked over to the lake.11

“You think,” he said.12

“I know, but we need to go and find them.” 13

“Do you even know what they look like?” Zac asked.14

“No, not really, but...”15

“But nothing, you and I never seen and with me I never even heard of them let alone know what they look like...” Zac trailed off, “Do you have an idea of what Ben and Terry look like?”16

“Sort of, Ben...” Leena closed her eyes, “Ben has like shaggy blonde hair, very boyish face like face...” Leena looked at him and cocked her head, “Why do you ask?”17

“I’ve seen him, and probably Terry,” Zac sighed, “I drew them.”18

“This is so strange, you know that,” Leena said gently, then she smiled, “Up for a road trip?” she asked.19

“What?” Zac asked.20

“Well we sort of need to go and find the rest of our star, which is Terry and Ben so let’s go find Ben, we think he’s in Wisconsin and he probably never left so let’s go.” She smiled.21

“You’re crazy,” Zac gazed at her, “When do we leave?” he asked.22

“Right now.” Leena said, dragging Zac away. She dragged him away to the garage and opened one of the three-doors.23

Zac gaped at the car that stood before him. Of course being a car sort of guy Zac nearly fainted seeing the Mercedes Benz, sitting in the garage.24

“What never seen a car before?” she asked, walking to the driver’s side.25

Zac still was having trouble getting over from shock for a great car, also living in a small town, expensive car would mean constant drooling from most American teenage boys.26

“Yea,” he said, snapping out of his trance.27

“Ok, Daisy!” she yelled.28

The old English Sheepdog bounded into the garage, “I can’t just leave him here along can I?” she asked.29

“True,” Zac said, “Where are we going to?” he asked.30

“Maybe your house, if you have a way to find Ben or Terry,” Zac tensed, “Is there something wrong?” she asked.31

“No,” Zac said looking at her, “It’s fine,” Zac paused and established a plan in his mind, “But we can’t go in through the front door, because of my parents, it will be fine for me to leave.” Zac smiled, this was going to be interesting.32
