Mental illness: an argument concering work ethic vs. play time

Hah! "MENTALLY ILL"...Sucks to be you. You see, the difference between you and me is that you had to save your whole life to afford these white padded walls, all I had to do was take a few lives and I now I live here for free.

Author notes

Perhaps this quote is not profound. However, I have always found the cost of mental health care appalling, and the evil little elves in my head thought about how one "mentally ill" patient, perhaps a bit sadistic, might poke a little fun at their self loathing and depressed institution compatriot who has to pay for the help he is trying to recieve. Think of it as a prison verses an institution. There is not a lot of help out there that is good and cheap for those who are suicidal, depressed and would actually use the help they are given to make their lives better. But yet, we throw billions of dollars a year into a prison system to try and rehabilitate those who for the most part don't want help, think they don't need help, and are angry and want to leave in the first place.

This however, was just a bit of fun, and perhaps quotable. Don't know. Enjoy!
