Serenity's best friend. She has short, black hair, and mystifying amber eyes. She's earned her nickname as 'Cat' because of her appearance and characteristics. She's the only person who goes to look for Serenity when Serenity runs off to figure out how to get rid of her 'curse.'2
Her mother found her on her doorstep on Christmas day 18 years ago. She was half-frozen, so she took her in, and soon fell in love with her. She named her Marina, after she gave her a bath, and hated it. She kept sticking out her tongue, and tried to leap out. Her mother found this...funny.3
She soon realized there was something strange about her. Her eyes grew into an odd shade of amber, and she could jump from the top of the staircase and land on her feet without getting hurt. She could also climb trees in less than thirty seconds, and any other high building.4
She loves to have fun and to laugh. She found Serenity in the local grocery store while getting margarine and milk for her mother's homemade bread. They talked for over an hour.5

Serenity's crush. She asked him if he'd like to see a movie with her one day. He refused automatically. Serenity, trying not to look hurt, smiled, and said okay. She went down to the beach to cool off and to watch the sunset. That's when she was bitten by the vampire and werewolf.8
Kyle's 18. His mother and father are happily married, but usually never home. He has electrifying blueish-green eyes, and untidy brown hair. He has a crush on Serenity, too, but doesn't want to admit it.9
After Serenity was admitted to the hospital, he blamed himself for not accepting her date, and was going to ask her if she'd like to have dinner with him once she got out of the hospital, but he was diagnosed with cancer after a week of waiting for Serenity. He died during one of his surgeries.10
In school, he was popular. He was the quarter-back in the football team, and loved to hang around with his friends. At home, he was lonely. He never accepted any kind of date, like meeting with his friends or REAL dates. He didn't want anyone to find out about his parents, which was really weird.11
After he died, his parents quit work and split up. After all, their marriage was being held by a string, and that string was Kyle, who they never wanted to hurt. Instead, he hurt them.
