Info: The handsome yet dangerous vampire whom Toni has fallen head over heels for. It seems he too is in love with her for no reason she can fathom. He used his influence with the King of the their vampire clan to bring her there as a slave. He does everything in his power to keep her safe and make her stay comfortable, though he can't protect her when she does stupid things that nearly get her killed. He attempts to keep his darkest secret from her by avoiding biting her, because he more than any of the others kills when he drinks.13

He's ruggedly handsome and has extremely deep dark blue eyes which Toni gets lost in often. He did many deeds of valor and saved a "damsel in distress" who eventually became his wife. She looks suspiciously like Toni. Hence his obsession with her. He is quite fond of corny pickup lines and uses them frequently on her. He will also fight any other to the death to protect her and this very well be born of some guilt from something that happened to her look-a-like.14
Their relationship is not perfect, though he tries very hard, Toni continually finds faults with him and is on again off again.15

Info: Al's an old guy he's in his 60's but looks much older from years and years of torture as a slave. Al is the father figure for Toni. He supports her and explains the way of life of being a slave. He's been a slave longer than nearly anyone there and is experienced with their eccentricities. He has fallen in love with several of them so has that experience too. He feels close to Toni because she reminds him very much of his own daughter who was kidnapped first by the vampires and killed while he and she attempted escape. He doesn't want to see the same thing happen to Toni so he tries to help her. He's has trouble of his own with Keir which Toni tries to protect him, but as always is unsuccessful.26

Info: On the outside Kama is exactly as she appears a demanding and fierce dominatrix. On the inside she's pretty much the same, but does care about her slaves. Dark and shapely, her short stature belies her power. Her interest in Toni is anything other than professional. She mostly tries to be a friend to Toni when she needs to talk or have a shoulder to cry on. While she has taken Toni into her bed and Toni has given into her base desires to be dominated, she is first and foremost Toni's friend.38
She has attempted to influence certain things for Toni, arranged meetings to try to patch up relationships, and even impart information to Toni that would put them both in danger. More recently Toni has been returning the favor by helping Kama and her relationship with Kenneth.39

Info: Lacey is Toni's best friend and comic relief. She attached herself to Toni rather quickly as they are bunk mates. Some would call her pretty and other's not so much. She was first made a slave at a very young age, despite the vampire's rules about not taking children. She was held hostage to get her father, the sheriff of the town above, to cooperate with the vampires. Growing up with the vampires has given her a strange sense of humor and sexual freedom. Since she's been there since childhood, she has gotten rather close to most vampires. Lacey is especially close to Kama and sometimes becomes jealous of her friendship with Toni. She doesn't so much help Toni as be a pawn for the vampires to get to Toni. No matter what happens between them though, Toni will always find she can depend on Lacey as a true friend.50
