David, Jake, Sleeper, SharpShooter

David Simantov- David is based on one of my classmates who asked me to put him in the story. David has brown curly hair, brown eyes and a wolfish grin. He was one of Jo's best friends from school, they're still really close even after college. As the story progresses and RapidFire becomes more of a threat he starts to challenger her. At one point, RapidFire is trying to get some survivors to go to another location. Jo however was captured by the machines. David wants to wait for her and opposes RapidFire, even when she puts a gun to his head. This earns him the nickname: Check. 1

Jake Hazen- Another one of my classmates who wanted to be in the story. Jake is a friend of Jo and David from school and concludes the trio. Jake has really short brown hair, hazel eyes and is a bit more reserved then David. He tends to hang back and add some balance to the situations. In some cases he seems sort of cowardly, like in the case mentioned above (where David has the gun to his head) Jake starts out supporting David but eventually just blends with the subway walls. It's not that he doesn't care for Jo it's that he isn't sure how much is too much. He earns the name Balance.2

Sleeper a.k.a. Max Snyder - Yet another classmate. Jo and SharpShooter find Sleeper when they are captured by the machines. Sleeper was a sleeper agent (hence the name) in the machine base and eventually helps them escape through a network of tunnels. He's an old friend of SharpShooter's and Jo becomes friends with him too. Sleeper has shoulder-length red hair and hazel eyes. He sort of jokes around but means it in a good way. For example when he's found by Jo and SharpShooter he refers to Jo as his girlfriend. Eventually Sleeper becomes adviser to the President and even the Vice President. 3

SharpShooter - He has shaggy brown hair and electric green eyes and a curving scar that peeks out of his t-shirts. SharpShooter actually saves Jo, David and Jake their first day in post-attack NYC. He eventually makes the trio a quartet and becomes Jo's confidante. When Jo starts having visions he really doesn't believe in them but nonetheless, he has to admit that there is something odd about her healing and the dreams too. He sort of serves as Jo's friend and support when she falters. (IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER) Later on he finally bears his soul to Jo and they will eventually spark a romance which will be ruined by the reason behind Jo's quirkiness.
