The only, and true love, of Saito Kojima. The one and only Kiari Takanoshin. Despite her slight figure, and being female, she is an extremely powerful person, and in ways, exceeds Saito's strength! Her attire consists of wearing baggy brown jeans, red sneakers, a slightly tight red shirt under her black, vest-like jacket, and red-orange finger-cut gloves.2

Kiari died years before while attempting to give birth to a child of her and Saito's, but because of the immense amount of injuries she had endured before trying to give the birth, she could not handle it and died. The child, suffered the same fate, as well.3

As a sort of miracle, she has been given a chance to return to the world of the living, along with Saito.4

Unlike Saito, Kiari does not have any care or mercy towards her enemies, and will never feel remorse for killing them. She also has total mastery of only one fighting style, Nanto Suichuu Ken, and makes Saito's Hinote Chou-Ken and Hokuto Shin-Ken look like petty-fighting compared to her skills. When Kiari is having a good time with her fighting, she will frequently do yells and screams similar to Bruce Lee whenever she attacks.5

The style of Nanto Suichuu Ken is much different than Hokuto Shin-Ken. It is the primary rival style of Hokuto Shinken, the main fighting style of Saito Kojima. Nanto Seiken or Nanto Suichuu Ken, specializes in destroying the enemy from outside through the use of hand-to-hand stabbing and slicing techniques, often using air pressure to do so without direct contact. With a focus on grace and aerial attacks, its primary usage is for close-range attacks. Like many other Nanto styles, it uses the hands or air pressure/ki to split the body into pieces6


Recently, the couple managed to reunite with one another, but were faced with the challenge of encountering Saito's old mentor, Raoh. This powerful man took Kiari as hostage to find a way to gain the power of Hokuto Shin-Ken's greatest secret, Musou Tensei. By faking Kiari's death, he unlocked this power. In the process, he's extended her life by seven months.7


After this event had occurred, Saito was attacked by the dark fighter known as Zora, who informed him of a power known as Burai. Despite Kiari's constant demands that he does not succumb to it, it became futile. Now almost abandoned, Kiari wishes to track down her husband and take try to change his ways, or kill him if deems necessary.8


Techniques9

Nanto Ko Ha Ryū (南斗虎破龍, "South Dipper Tiger Destroys Dragon") - A technique Kiari performs after witnessing Saito's Seikyokurinstance. It causes its target to fall into a state of false death. Kiari performs this technique in conjunction with Saito's Hokuto Ryū Geki Ko ("North Dipper Dragon Attacks Tiger") to deceive the Fang Tribe. 10

Danko Sōsai Ken (断己相殺拳, "Self-Sacrifice Offset Fist") - A technique that kills an opponent at the expense of the user. It would've killed Raoh if it had actually been used successfully.11

Suzaku Tenshō (朱雀展翔, "Expansive Flight of the Red Sparrow") - A face-cutting technique Kiari uses against Yuda and once again against Saito.12

Hien Ryūbu (飛燕流舞, "The Flowing Dance of the Flying Swallow") - Kiari performs this technique in a demonstration in front of other Nanto students, leaving them impressed and Yuda angry. It earned Kiari the envy of Yuda. 13

Hishō Hakurei (飛翔白麗, "Soaring White Loveliness") - The ultimate Suichō Ken technique. A jumping mid-air double stabbing attack which serves as the killing blow that defeated Yuda.
