The new Greek story (improved version)

I was reading a book called the midas touch. It is about a king and whatever he touched will be gold. My hands felt something as I turned the page. I then saw a palace, but it wasn't really big or magnificent. Then I saw a god, he asked me a what was my wish and it would come true. Suddenly, a voice came from behind me. The King! 'I wish that whatever I touch in my hands will turn into gold' said the king.11

So the god granted the wish the king made, to me! I heard my mum's voice. 'Coming' I shouted and somehow pulled myself out of the storybook. When we ate, I touched my fork and spoon and were much heavier and was a colour which was gold.22

I saw my mum open her mouth. I tried to distract her by talking about school but she didn't seem to be intrested. She continued to talk about my bowl and asking me why that happened. So I gulped down my food and ran to my room. 3

Phew, what a close shave. I picked up the book. Wow, even the book's front cover turned into a goldish front cover. I carefully opened the book. Quick but careful, I told myself.4

As I touched the inside of the book, I was sucked in. I'm glad that I was sucked in because I haven't finished it yet. I wandered around, I touched the king's palace to make it nicer.45

Suddenly, I saw a pool of water, I didn't want to get wet so I walked around making things nicer by touching it. I found grapes so I touched them and I brought them for souvenirs.56

I bumped into the king and touched him. 'Uh-oh!' I cried. Solders came with spears. I quickly touched them all and they stood as stiff as a rock.67

It was getting hot now and without realising it, I plunged into the pool of water. Ah, refreshing. 'Dinner time' my mum called out. 'Coming' I shouted again. This time, Nothing turned into that goldish colour again.8

My mum said 'oh, maybe my eyes saw the wrong thing'. I said yes so I could hide the secret of what I had done. I was glad to see that my mum didn't belive that before what I touched was the goldish colour. 9

One day, I inspected that the things my hand touched before and actually were turned into pure gold.10

I really did mess up the storybook. Maybe one day in the future, someone will pick up the Greek story and go through my messed up parts. When I opened the book again, I saw the king in gold. I was careful to flick the pages quikly so I wasn't inside the storybook again.11

And that is how I went into the storybook. It was really fun. But I wouldn't go in again.12

I really did mess up the storybook. Maybe one day in the future, someone will pick up the Midas touch story and go through my messed up parts.913

I still might need changes if you see some.

    Extremely imaginative.

I love the concept of going into the story book. I did something similar in a Role Playing game on the Mystical Realms with some friends once, being sucked inside a book, except this one was dark and evil and we all had to fight our way out of it. The part about messing up the story reminds me of a book I read called a A Good Great Thing, in which the characters are bored and start to wander around to different parts of the book and have to run back whenever someone opens the book and starts to read. You really have a good idea here.

Very nice! Much improved... Now many things make sense. Close shave? *lol* I think it is 'close call'! And para 13 is repeated in para 11. All in all, very Good! Keep it up!
