He Can't Die (2)

Taylor looks over to see who it is that said those words.  Relief befalls her as she finds it is John.  1

"Taylor, honey, why are you crying?" John asks softly, taking her hands into his, while wiping away a tear.2

"I'm just crying about Shawn. I don't know how to feel right now.  I mean I love you John, but somewhere in my heart I feel as though I am betraying Shawn.  I know what you are going through John and I really love the fact that you are here for me and all.  I just don't know what your feelings are for me.  I hope that one day you can find it in your heart to tell me what you are feeling." Taylor says as a single, silent tear falls down her cheek. She loves John with all her heart, but she doesn't know what his true feelings are for her.  She can't put her heart on the line without knowing if he will reject her or not.  She already lost one love and she doesn't want to risk setting herself up again!3

"Oh my gosh, Taylor.  Honey, I have loved you since I first set eyes on you.  You wouldn't believe how many nights Shawn and I sat up and talked about you.  He said he loved you and I wasn't gonna take that away from him.  He just seemed so happy when he was around you.  I knew that he needed some happiness in his life after his father died. Once he set eyes on you, I knew he was hooked as was I.  I hoped and prayed that I would find my own special little slice of heaven in a girl.  But to no avail, so I just was a friend to Shawn and you.  And that is the greatest gift I could have given him.  Now that you are no longer with him I can tell you my true feelings without you laughing at me.  I know that sounds really bad but I do love you. I always have and I always will.  But for right now, I am putting my feelings aside to help you get through this." John says as he holds her close.4

"John, I don't know where this is coming from, but.......I love you too! I was so torn between you two but Shawn made the move first.  I am so sorry for that.  I never even knew the pain you were going through.  But let's try to make that better okay?  Maybe together we can solve this one head on!" she says as she locks her fingers with his5

***Three months later***6

Taylor and her best friend Michelle are out shopping for Michelle's upcoming wedding to Bret Hart.  Taylor is looking over dresses, trying to figure out what one will best compliment Michelle's wedding dress.7

"What about this one?" Taylor asks, holding up a sky blue rhinestone dress8

"That's cute.  Um Taylor....do you find yourself getting a little um....bigger?" asks Michelle9

"ARE YOU SAYING I'M FAT?" asks Taylor10

"NO....I am saying that you might need to go get a pregnancy test after we are done shopping today." 11

About two hours later Taylor and Michelle are in the doctor's office awaiting her test results.   Due to technology increasing so much in the last decade, pregnancy tests come back within two hours.  The doctor walks into the office and informs Taylor that she is indeed pregnant!12

"I can't wait to tell John.  He will be so happy!" Taylor exclaims13

Taylor rushes home and walks through the door.  John is in the kitchen busying himself by making dinner.  He is a mess.  He has flour on himself and the floor and everywhere else you can imagine. She walks over to him and plants a kiss on his lips.  His eyes grow wide at first, then he softens to her.14

"Well gees, I love you too, baby!" John says "So how your day baby? Did you find the right dress for Shell's wedding?"15

"Yeah, I did, but I am going to have to get a few sizes bigger." She says with a mile wide grin on her face.  16

"Baby, your not that fat.  Get over it.  I love you just the way you are." he says as he wraps his arms around her17

"That's not what I mean.  I am pregnant, John!" she says18

"Oh my gosh that's great.  I am gonna be a daddy.  WOW." he grabs her and plants a tender kiss on her lips19

All of a sudden a smile starts to creep onto John's face.  He gets down on one knee and pulls a box out of his pocket.  20

"Baby, I was gonna wait until tonight when you were home and dinner was done to ask you this, but I think now is  the right time.  Taylor, honey, you know I love you with all my heart.  I know that it is sad to say but Shawn's death brought us closer than ever before.  And for that I am eternally grateful.  But I want you to become Mrs. John Cena so that the world will know about the woman I truly love.  Taylor, will you marry me?" John asks 21

"Yes, I will!  I love you John!"  Taylor says as she puts her hand out.22
