A goblin was protecting Crystel. 2
The goblin was against the queen.3
It was sitting just feet away from him, mocking him with its presence.4
And the worst part was that it had saved Crystel. It had come when Crystel was screaming, not Isaac. It was that dirty, two-faced, lying, brutal creature who would be carrying her as she recovered, because Isaac, in his past exhaustion, had allowed it. There for it would be by her, every moment, watching over her like a hawk. Then there was the worst part, what if she began to trust it?5
Isaac turned over as this thought ran through his head. This is how he spent the rest of the night, thinking the same thing over and over, asking the same questions, and still receiving no answer. Finally after to much time had passed, Isaac stood up to wake up the others as he usually did. His eyes heavy, and his head throbbing from lack of sleep.6
“Good morning Isaac.” Crystel said in an extremely, tired, pained voice as he roughly shook her awake. She winced when she took a good look down at her purple ankle. Isaac looked at it as well and smiled grimly inside bitter hatred churning in his chest. Crystel, seeing Isaac’s look smiled through the pain, “don’t worry Isaac,” she said as cheerfully as she could, “It doesn’t hurt that bad.”7
Isaac, who was not at all comforted, simply walked away, scowling at everything there was to scowl at or about.8
Crystel watched him go and, as Jeff scooped her up as gently as he possibly could, Crystel felt shivers run down her spine, feeling an even mix of fear and trust, “he’s acting all tough.” She said nervously, “You know he’s really worried about me.”9
Jeff looked over at Isaac with hatred, “yeah,” He grumbled, “I’m sure he is.”10
Isaac, feeling the goblin’s glare turned around, making sure to scowl back. He had to kill that thing, not only would it bring him great pleasure, it was also the only way he would be able o get to Crystel.11
He stared at the ground, trying hard to some how devise a plan, when he saw a stick, then a sharp rock. A small light bulb (very small) seemed to flicker on in his head, as he purposely fell be hind the other two, then picked up the stick and eagerly began to sharpen it. A sense of bitter pleasure seemed to lighten his heart as he imagined stabbing that goblin in he back of his neck, then as it falls over, unable to move through the pain he could strangle Crystel. Of Course, he knew the stab would not be fatal, not to a goblin, but it may buy him enough time to kill her, and then get away.12
It didn’t take to horribly long before the stick was sharp enough to cut skin, and when it was, he silently crept up behind the goblin. But upon doing this he immediately realized a horrible flaw to his plan. For even standing on tip toes, Isaac realized that the goblins neck would be out of reach. He looked at the goblins back, would his stick be able to drill through?13
He looked at his stick, then at the mighty green back before him, and decided that it was worth a shot, so cheerful and exited to finally accomplish his chore, he rose it over his head and, began to bring it down, but just as the tip was about to penetrate his enemy’s back, something wrapped around his ankle and pulled making him fall over and hit the ground hard, then it violently yanked foreword and up, he hit his head on the ground, the he found himself dangling about five feet off the ground by his ankle.14
On his very first impulse, he thought that the goblin had caught him in the act and grabbed him, but he quickly learned that this was a stupid accusation, for not only was the goblins not quite that tall, he also could see him walking away below him, Crystel cradled in his arms. If Isaac’s head had hurt before, then it held not a candle to the throbbing pain pounded unforgiving at his scull now. 15
Crystel, hearing Isaac shout as he got yanked into the tree, looked over Jeff’s shoulder “Ummm, Jeff,” Crystel said nervously, “Isaac is in trouble,”16
Jeff continued walking for a moment more, then stopped, and with a sigh, turned around.17
Isaac glared at him, and when the goblin untied the rope wrapped around Isaac’s ankle Isaac stumbled to his feet and scowled at him with detestation so strong, it made Crystel shiver, “You were going to leave me!” Isaac yelled through the pain in his head.18
“No I wasn’t” Jeff answered begrudgingly, “If I was going to leave you I would have.”19
“Then why did you keep going!?”20
Crystel, who truly did not want another argument to break out, decided to intervene this time, “I’m sure he just didn’t hear you, did you Jeff?”21
Jeff opened his mouth then closed it again.22
See!” Isaac yelled, “I told you!”23
Crystel looked at Jeff for an explanation, “I-I thought it was a uh bird… that called”24
Isaac was about to raise his stick into the air, deciding to jump for the throat, when he realized that he had lost it when being yanked from the ground.25
It was at that moment, that Crystel noticed something very strange. For just a split second in the moment between his hand beginning to raise and then come back down, his eyes seemed to change from their usual light brown to a piercing golden color.26
“DID YOU HEAR THAT!!!!?” Isaac yelled, “IF HE’S GOING TO MAKE AN EXUSE, CAN HE ATLEAST MAKE IT DECENT!!!” 27
Crystel heard none of this, or rather; she listened to none of it. Instead, she looked at her raving companion and asked, “Isaac, why did your eyes just turn yellow?” 28
She immediately learned that that was not a good question to ask, for as soon as the last word slid out of her mouth, Isaac became silent. The wind itself seemed to stop blowing and he stood there and looked at her without even a scowl for just a moment, an unrecognizable look in his eyes.29
Then, he silently stepped past her; scowl growing more intense then she had ever seen it, not with hatred but with something else. “They didn’t” he murmured, and not another word was said.30
Author notes
Yo readers. Sorry it's taken so long for me to post anything eventful. ^_^ Tell me what you think. It's late, so I'm not sure how good it is. all I do know is that it doesn't have much dialogue . But Its mostly Isaac who is quiet and sort of a loner, so thats why. Wondering about that trap? No worries it'll be explained a little in the next chapter, then alot in the chapter after that. ^_^
I put some foreshadowing in for Isaac here, I've only foreshadowed him one other time, and that was a change I made in chapter 3. When he is talking to her the first time about him not wanting to kill Crystel and then she sais he has to and all that, she tells him that she 'will grant him the greatest reward his kind could ask for.'
So as you must know, I love predictions!!! I gave you somthing to go off of now so. ^^
also, (for eph (sorry addicted to caffine (i don't care what your name is thats what I'm calling you))) ^_^ My favorite characters in Sheaagos are
1:Greg (by far! man he rox!) 2:Lee/Link(later character) 3:Max 4:Liam
Just, what do you think? I guess.

Dear me oh my! I wondered about the eyes thing for awhile. I didn't realize it actually had meaning for the plot though. Excellent foreshadowing! Now I'ma need to know what's goin' on with these here eyes shifting around and such. Is he possessed, does he have a dark side, is it a spell? Ooooo!
I lol'd when Jeff sighed before turning back around to save Isaac from the trap. I did think that Jeff's explanation of the "bird" was a bit lame even for him. Maybe if he just kept silent and looked away, so Crystel wouldn't see the lie in his eyes or something.
It looks a little obvious, is all.
p11 o = to
p12 falls s/b past tense, fell
Course = course
may = might
p13 take to = take too
p15 scull = skull
I'm getting sad! There's just one more chapter posted! Arrrrrgh!

Another wonderful chapter. I can't wait to find out what's with the eyes but I can't seem to come up with any explanations either.
The story is getting a lot more interesting the more you keep writing. However, there were a few phrases that confused me but I just got home form school. So they're probably just me.
Anyways, I'm rushing to read the next chapter.

I'm guessing the person who made that trap was Jeff's little companion? Ummmm.... I can't remember his name.... Well, you know who I mean. I'd know it if I heard it.
Hmmm, I can't really guess anything based just on the fact that Isaac's eyes briefly turned yellow. It could be anything, lol! ^^" So I'll just wait and find out, cos I seriously have no clue
Good work. Still don't really realise why Isaac hasn't just killed her already though. Wouldn't he kill her even if it put his own life at risk? Or is he not as loyal to the witch as he's supposed to be? Maybe Jeff will somehow go bad later and he'll turn out to be the good one? There are my guesses
Although it seems unlikely that Jeff would turn bad.
Eph (Yes, you can call me that, lol ^^)
PS. Liam is all the way down at number 4??? Greg must do some pretty interesting things if everyone likes him so much. Go Liam!! xD -

no, Boo Boo did not make the trap, he would have been able to if he wanted, ut Jeff has nothing to do with them.
Isaac would not try to kill her even if it costs his life. He is only loyal to the queen because she is forcing him. He hates her. It's a long story, but it will eventually be explained. -
-
Oh, so Isaac hates Crystel, but he also hates the one making him kill her.... Well, I can wait for the full explanation
I really should stop askign questions; it's not like I'll never find out the answers, lmao ^^
