Saito Kojima, the anti-hero without a care in the world. This character is almost exactly as he once was in his time in the SHOGO Galaxy, with little to no change in his personality or appearance. Which was a dark-blue jeans jacket, with a white T-shirt underneath, dark-blue jeans, and red wrist-clothes on both hands. His face was always in a serious expression, and chose to cut his hair short to show it.4

Some have compared his stone-faced attitude to Kenshiro of the Hokuto Galaxy, even to the extent of learning a fighting style similar to his, called Hinote Chou-Ken.5

In battle, he tends to use his fists and his well-established mastery of martial arts, more than weaponry. Mostly sticking to the point, and finishing the enemy in the quickest, but most ugliest ways. Saito does not care if his killings look gruesome to others. He was once able to use the abilty to become a Super Saiya-Jin, due to blood and gene splicing, but lost the ability later on.6

When Saito lived in EXEHQ, he encountered many new friends, and an extreme amount of enemies known as the N00bs. The most famous n00b in his mind, was one named pyron. This n00b became Saito's nemesis. The two fought many times, and at one point, pyron's strength surpassed Saito's. This forced him to use a technique that involves sending out every bit of ki in his body, taking his own life, and turning him into a stone statue. This technique, was also tribute to Raoh/Ken-Oh, a former mentor of the time when Saito was in the Hokuto Galaxy.7

Because of King Yemna's generousity, Saito was given a second chance at life, but was stripped away of his Saiya-Jin genes that were spliced as the payment. As a favor, he was given the chance to bring Kiari back to life also, at the cost of lowering his Power Level slightly.8

Around the time before the FreezeCracker was created, Saito tried to fight against the final N00b army, hoping to aid the Python-dan, but mostly wanting to settle things alone. Little did he know that Kiari followed him, and ended up being captured. Soon later, the kidnapper was revealed to be pyron, who escaped from Hell to get revenge on Saito. The first action he took, was killing Kiari right in-front of Saito's eyes, and vaporizing her body into nothing. This resulted in Saito losing all reason and using Satsui no Hadou at it's highest level. He was able to kill pyron in the end, but lost a large amount of his humanity in the process.9

To forget about the past, Saito left EXEHQ. Strangely enough, it was only moments before it was transformed into FreezeCracker. His appearance changed greatly, and now wears a much different outfit. Now he wears clothing very similar to his sensei, Kenshiro, as a way to thank him for all he's done.10

Currently, he's defeated his old master, Raoh, and is trying to restart his life with Kiari. Saito has also regained his ability to become a Super Saiya-Jin, which multiplies his Power Level by ten-fold.11

Soon after the defeat of Raoh, Saito was taken down by the hands of Zora. This man told Saito about a power known as Burai, which allows the user to become stronger, as long as they continue with no bonds or friendship, relying on their loneliness. Saito took this offer, and allowed himself to use this power.12

Techniques such as Musou Tensei cannot be used anymore as long as he has no bonds, and techniques such as Misogi have powered up to the point that they could shatter mountains with little effort.13

Saito has a variety of techniques from Hinote Chou-Ken, Hokuto Shin-Ken, and Satsui no Hadou Ansatsu-Ken15

Hinote Sho-sen Ken (火の手 証千 拳
By focusing ki into his fist and legs, Saito can use a sort of "Rising Dragon Punch" which sets his target ablaze and sends them into the air. Think, Shoryuken.17

Hinote Nabiku Ken (火の手 靡く 拳
One of Saito's medium-strengthed attacks. By focusing ki into both palms and holding it in a cup-formation, a ball of flame-based energy emerges, It can be charged for a period of time before it explodes, and is thrusted at the enemy. Think, Hadouken.18

Hinote Senpu-Kyaku(火の手 旋風 脚
By focusing ki into his legs, Saito jumps up and spins one of his legs while moving forward. This can hit multiple times. Think, Tatsumaki Senpu-Kyaku.19

Hinote Ten-Sho Honretsu (火の手 天証本裂
By focusing ki into his entire upper body, Saito pushes his chest into the opponent, with his hands forward. This causes the enemy to fly backwards, and shuts down their immune system. Think, a very strong tackle.20

[Hokuto Shin-Ken]21

Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken (北斗百裂拳, North Star's Hundred Crack Fist):
Saito's trademark technique; the one most frequently associated with him. It is characterized as a strike of over a hundred blows, delivered at rapid-speed to the designated 708 Keiraku Hikō (Pressure Points) on the adversary's body. Each attack is usually accompanied by multiple high-pitched martial arts vocalizations of a style perhaps in homage to Bruce Lee.22

Hokuto Gou Sho Ha (北斗剛掌波, North Star's Rigid Palm Wave):
A technique created for the purpose of attacking the adversary outside of the practitioner's reach. To achieve this, the fighter would expel a fierce amount of their Touki (闘気, battle aura) from their palm(s) of their hand, creating a fierce and powerful wave.23

Hokuto Ujō Mōshō-Ha (北斗有情猛翔破, North Star Merciful Shock Wave):
This technique is derived from Toki's Hokuto Ujō Ken (Merciful Fist of the North Star), Using the Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken, Saito closes the numerous pressure points (keiraku hakou) along the adversary's torso; halting their blood flow thusly, and with a final blow to the heart, transmits a tremendous shock of Touki (闘気 through the body; achieving immediate breakdown of the adversary's muscular system.24

Hokuto Zankai Ken (北斗残悔拳, North Star's Lingering Fist of Regret):
Saito inserts his thumbs into the temples of his enemy. Upon removal of Saito's thumbs the enemy is left with just 3 seconds to live. In these 3 seconds, Saito advises them to meditate on folly of their wicked ways, before being split in half vertically and exploding.25

Ganzan Ryōzan Ha (岩山両斬波, Mountain Fissuring Wave):
A knife-hand strike that crushes the victim's skull. Noteworthy only because it is used more than once by Saito and is an extremely straightforward maneuver in spite of its elaborate name.26

Tenryū Kokyū Hō (転龍呼吸法, Art of Dragon's Breathing):
A method of breathing that allows the Hokuto Shinken practitioner to tap into their body's full potential. A normal human uses but 30% of their body's strength so Tenryū is used to tap into that other 70%. A technique of utmost secrecy, anyone who sees it being performed must be killed to protect one Hokuto Shinken's greatest advantages over other styles. This technique make Saito burst his jacket, he only announced this technique twice during the series, however it is assumed that he used this technique every time his jacket explode when fighting against strong opponent.27

Musō Tensei (無想転生, Nil-Thought Reincarnation):
The ultimate Hokuto Shinken technique which had never before been mastered by anyone in all 1800 years of the style. Kenshiro was the first to master it, followed by Raoh, and now Saito. Saito achieved this by becoming consumed with sorrow to the point where he had achieved communion with the deathless absolute emptiness or void spoken of in most religons. It allows Saito to be one with deceased warriors from his past, and use a sort of "teleport" to change his location in midst of the battle. This technique cannot be used if the user has no bonds.28

Burai Wave Fist (孤独の波の握りこぶし
By focusing the dark-like ki into his always burning left hand, Saito can shoot out large shots of ki in the shape of his fist. It has the same amount of strength as though he were punching normally, only the range is increased.30

Burai Denpa Barrier (孤独の軽い障壁
A barrier that can nullify any damage type as long as it's not broken. This barrier comes out on it's own, with no asking of Saito's will. The young man believes that only someone with no bonds can break this defense, but in reality, it just needs to be hit with an attack stronger than his own. The barrier regenerates itself every thirty seconds.31

Burai Sword (孤独の剣
Saito is able to materialize a large Zweihander sword from the depths of his powers. Using only one hand to carry it, it requires immense amounts of strength to handle this type of blade. Saito uses this weapon only when he's willing to truly kill his opponent.32

Hinote Chou-Ken Ougi - Ten-Ryu Hame Ha (火の手おうぎ- 転龍羽目波
Similar to Nabiku no Chou-ken, but way more powerful and is shot like a beam. Think, Tenha Kassatsu.34

Hinote Chou-Ken Ougi - Sho-sen Hyakuretsu Ken (火の手おうぎ- 証千百裂拳
Similar to Sho-sen Ken, but done multiple times. Think, Shinryuken.35

Satsui no Hadou Ougi - Shun Goku Satsu:
There is very little deviation in how the Shun Goku Satsu has been depicted in the eyes of people. The move starts with Saito gliding toward his opponent. If he connects, he grabs them and everyone's sight is obscured. For a few seconds, the only things visible are several flashes. Finally, their sight returns to normal and Saito is left standing over his unconscious victim.36

Satsui no Hadou Ougi - Misogi:
By using the sorrow and sadness inside him from losing his love, Kiari, this move allows his fists to have the impact of 10 meteors for a period of time. This technique is even stronger when under the influence of Burai. Think, Ganzan Ryo-zan Ha.37

Hokuto Shinken Ōgi - Sui Ei Ko:
Saito strikes his opponent's Ryugan, located in the chest. This causes the victim's body to become like a mass of bare nerves, causing extreme pain with the slightest touch. Saito uses this technique on Barrel as revenge for all his actions before finally killing him with a blow to the head, but it is not announced, as it happened without Saito knowing it.38

Hokuto Shinken Ōgi - Zankai Sekiho Ken (残悔積歩拳, North Star God Fist Secret - Burden of Regret Walk Fist):
By striking the power-point known as Shitsugen, Saito triggers the involuntary locomotion of the adversary's legs to walk backwards, and the adversary is helpless to stop the legs' motion.39

Hokuto Shinken Ōgi - Tenha Kassatsu (北斗奥義:天破活殺, North Star God Fist Secret - Heavens Impalement)
A secret technique similar to Hokuto Gousho Ha in the aspect of the fighter's Touki (闘気 being expelled through their hand(s). However, with the Tenha Kassatsu, their Touki (闘気 is transmitted, via their fingertips, into the adversary; penetrating the body where the Touki (闘気 erupts from the body in the pattern of the "Big Dipper" constellation, piercing even solid objects behind them.40


Burai Break (孤独の壊れ目
Only available when Saito is wielding the Burai Sword. He will focus large amounts of ki into the blade, and them slam at the enemy with a Braver-esque slash, causing a massive shock wave of energy within a twenty meter radius. One of the stronger techniques of Burai form.41

Burai Kizuna Big Bang Counter (孤独の隠しだての大きい強打のカウンター
When an opponent is using a technique of power that greatly exceeds Saito's, the Burai Kizuna Big Bang Counter is activated without will. Because of Saito using the Shinobi strand of Burai form, this will activate a technique that will split his body into three copies.42

Burai Fuumashippujin (孤独のハリケーンの鬼の突風
The technique used from Burai Kizuna Big Bang Counter, the Burai Fuumashippujin. By changing to three forms of himself, Saito will jump into the air and throws a massive amount of large shuriken and kunai at the enemy. The technique does not stop until the enemy's initial attack is negated.
