The Cerebral Rousing

My Inspiration is a tough thing to explain. Basically, my inspiration comes from wanting to create certain fantasies in my own head. I am inspired to write a story, so that when I read it, I can create the fantasy I want. Understandable right…lol. Perhaps I should explain why…1

You see, when I read books, I find myself wanting more. I find myself wondering what if or damn, why did it have to go that way… Leaving me to want and feel disappointed. So to satisfy, I write my own story. 2

I create what I wanted to happen a call it done. 3

My actual inspirations to sit down and write are the need to type, rest and relaxation, certain pictures, other books and music. All inspire me to write. The whole need to type things is a strange one, but I like the way the keys sound when I click them…haha! There are many other things that inspire, including colors, friends, situations, foods, artwork, emotions, weather...all insprie. Inspiration is everywhere. 4

So, these are my inspirations and actualities. 5

This is well written. And yes, I do understand what you mean about what inspires you. To take control of a story and make it your own... therefor a better version. Cuz you happen to be a better, more determined writer. Who see's things differently. Not bad at all.

Thanks for sharing this write with us. It is indeed a well written one. Flows elegantly and completes a thought and does it well.

Thanks for entering this into my contest.

colors: I can identify there. Would you believe I only ever used to write on blue and green paper: use green and blue notebooks? It was creepy but colors affect me in different ways. I think that color is a wonderful source of inspiration. It makes the mind wander, create. it ignites the sense and tickles the taste buds. Why? because color is so universal. Color can say so much.

For example what does red tell you: passion, anger, romance? Blue: relaxation, sadness, tranquility...

friends: Often I have not so much relied on my friends for inspiration, but have gained immense inspiration from them. Whether it be the love, kindness, honesty.. of their friendship alone and their supporting of my writing through the hard and the good times. Or whether it be the person inspiring parts of a character, traits, mannerisms, names or near the whole of the person with a few sizzling bits to keep them from suing (jokes).

I think friends would be second to all people for me, because I am an observer when I can be, and the human itself is the most inspirational tool for a writer.

Situations: immediately I remembered a line from a song that says “these situations are irrelevant now”. I happen to think no situation if life is irrelevant and by sure that everything, ever situation and circumstance in like is all linked to the past, present and future: while every thing happens for a reason. Try it, I swear by it that there are clues left each day rising to a single event or situation that darn well might be good or bad, but sure rocks your life and ignites something in a writer's mind.

Tell me this: is it not funny that out mood before, during and after every situation fuels our thinking for our stories? I mean you wake up angry: you sit down and your characters, try as hard as you may come across ass angry.

I see this as another brilliant tool for the writer: which simple goes along with life's journey.

Foods: I am a sucker for a good punnet of strawberries. But I think just about everybody knows that fruit fetish of mine. But it is not just the fruit itself: it is the five senses that revolve around it. The beauty of food itself. It is such an inspiration. I love food. And I have to agree that food is def' a great inspiration.

Artwork: Another one of my true, forms of inspiration. And art work can come in all forms. For me it it vintage masterpieces. From the Victorian times. Other than that I find a lot of my writing inspiration from the art form of scrap booking and painting. I love seeing other people in work or the finished product. Whenever I feel the need to delve into something creative, I love to flick through my magazines and feel that zest and passion for art and creating. So I very much agree on Art as a wonder for inspiration.

This is also linked with home designer magazines. I tend to think that they art works of art as well. And they inspire me often using colors, design all those wonderful things that make a place a home, that spark something inside me and inside many. To create.

Emotions: Anyone who tells me emotions is not an inspiration is not only telling me porky's but hog tying themselves ready for a spit roast. No matter who we are, where we are and what we do, we as humans continue to feel. Even when someone asks how are you feeling and you say “Numb” you are still feeling something: desolate, desperate, sad. Every day, ever minute if the day is an endless journey of emotions and emotions are one of the most intense, classical tools a writer uses. For if it is not for emotions. You have no story in my eyes.

So as for this pointer. I think it deserves a mention, because everyone, every human being sane, insane, sad or happy no matter what: we all feel and as characters, being real people inside our minds as we read a story, so should they feel as well. (Love this one)

weather: Lastly weather. I don;t know how many times I have woken up and the day has been so freaking bright that I can;t help but pull out my pad and paper or sit down with a cup of tea while I clack away at the keyboard (sun shining brightly on me) or if during the day it has become gloomy. My mood instantly changes and so does my inspiration, motivation and creativity to write.

Sometimes weather can have a great affect, other times it leaves me wanting to shoot my writing, burn it, churn some useless drivel only to tear it up and eat it. Weather is an important emotional, depiction of out emotions and situations. So I feel as though tied together with every other pointer. You have certainly some brilliant spices for writing.

    Good Luck
Thank you for entering: I loved emotions !!!

    How interesting

I think along the same pattern for correcting stories and gathering inspiration, though I have to say that the click of the keys is a sound that would disrupt my attention, but gothic rock music helps me focus, so go figure. Thanks for sharing.

Sums you up pretty good. Fantasy, humor and a desire to make things right, when others didn't quite get it. LOL
