“You can’t expect me to figure this out alone, Aiden – for God’s sake, you were the only one there!” 1
He turned his head, avoiding my overbearing tone. There was no way he was bailing on me now – we had just driven for six hours to reach our destination. “I said what I said. When I got to him….it was too late.” His eyes, though turned from me, must be glazed with remorse. I hated doing this to him, but he was the only one to ever outwit that evil, twisted little bastard: Jasper. 2
There was nothing outwardly alarming about the guy, just a haphazard-looking collage guy with a white mini-cooper. An unbiased bystander might even wave at him, maybe say hello…no warning at all. Once a friend to me, like the brother I never had, the brother that I then wished I had never met. Actually, that was an understatement. I wished his forbearers were struck down by God…no. Now I know - I wished with all my heart that he could be locked in a little metal box, made especially for him. Just so he could feel the pain of being trapped, helpless, everything I was right then…which is why I needed Aiden to talk to me. Out of all of those he had touched, Jasper had failed to leave his dirty little fingerprints on my best friend. 3
Sarah, Mike, Donnovan, and other members of our little circle of friends had been tainted by his presence. All subjected to the immediately accurate mental turmoil that was Jasper. Well, let me put it like this for you: meeting him was signing a contract, stating, “I, the undersigned, notwithstanding to the warnings and perils of others, have now subjected myself to the total mercy and unabridged will of Jasper Dimitri Karving.” 4
Needless to say, the others ran into…challenges. Accidents. Mishaps, if you will. They had been slowly disappearing from our lives, all completely disturbed by that thing hiding in a human’s skin. Once, a friend left the grounds ‘for a beer’ and he never come back. Others went in tears or screaming fits, storming out of the school in a mindless rage. Tabitha even punched Jasper in the eye before swearing at him and spinning around on her yellow high-heel to her car. Tabitha was ridiculously lucky; others were not. Kenny, for instance. He was the one we were arguing about, the one Aiden had relied so much on for help. A good friend, a truly good, down-to-earth nice-guy.5
Kenny had left us in a body bag.6
“Aid---“7
Aiden wheeled around to face me again, his eyes wild, a state of mental upheaval evident in his manner. “I SAID I WAS TOO LATE!” His face crumpled, and he squeezed his eyes shut as he slid down the wall. He brought his hands to his face to scrub his eyes of the telltale tears forming on his slight face. “ I-! I don’t know,” he moaned, “I just kept calling and calling him, but he never answered…he always answered us. “ his dark hair shook over his hands as he swiped then back over his head in a nervous gesture. “I had to break the door down, Tristan. He had never locked it before, man I was scared. When I found him…” he chocked, cleared his throat, and started again. “I-when I…I found him leaning on the window…he-he just kind of looked at me like I wasn’t there. He was already gone, but I tried to stop him, Tristan I couldn’t do anything. He just…slid right out the window.” My friend blinked hard as I slid down beside him in morbid fascination. “Like it was nothing…Kenny…gone.” 8
The touch of Jasper Karving was the most poisonous thing I had ever witnessed. It was then I decided that one way or another, Jasper would pay in blood for what he had done to all of those people: time to go to the source. Someone who knew him well enough to help pick him apart and burn the pieces. But that’s why we were here.9
“Come on, man. This is where we need to be. She’ll help us if she’ll listen. “I helped Aiden up off of the ground, the police sirens still blaring loudly in our minds as we made our way up a foreign staircase. Slowly, we made our way to the 6th floor, room 727. 10
We paused at the door in contemplation. He looked at me forbiddingly – was this the right thing to do? “If she will help…what we are going to do about him?” he croaked, horse from his flashback to a week ago. 11
I smiled and cuffed his shoulder. “We’re going to teach him everything he taught us.” I said, and rang the doorbell to 727. 12
Author notes
This is honestly just a little side project to keep my mind from imploding. Input?
Did this make you interested in the very least? I did this in about 15 min...so it's just a whim.

Woah. uhm. Confusing. Is this the better version or something?

Welllll This is quite interesting so far. *smacks forehead* I need to find a better word than "interesting"...gahh...

-
-
UUUHG!
Sorry - I had to reboot my computer WHILE IT WAS SENDING. Resulting in multiple copies...uhg again.
Confusion.....and yes, the teacher wanted us to use the words in a composition, so i guess I'll just write this story for it. -
-
Wow that sucks.
Hmm who do you have for your teacher? -
-
Hume. You?
-
-
Mrs. Whitely. *shivers*
That woman is weird.
Really, she acts normal and all, but Idk.. maybe it's cuz of her hyperness.
Or maybe it's because Chelsea tries (the entire time) to be her pet. Seriously, Mrs. Whitely has already gotten so sick of her that every time Chelsea raises her hand, she yells at her to put it down XD -
-
XD Beautious. Isn't she the one with the bad southern accent?
-
-
Beautious... interesting. Is that a new word of yours?
Yes, she's the one with the bad accent. She's SO mean to her study hall kids...my study hall teacher is pretty bad too, but wow. She's just ...wow. -
-
yes - a combo of wondrous and beautiful.
...
...
...
...in case you were wondering (in the story) I have a weakness for clever guys and white mini-coopers. Well, I also like yellow sports cars, but that would have been too flamboyant for the Jasper's personality. -
-
Ahh! Fascinating word.
Lol yeah I was wondering why you specifically chose a white mini-cooper... but it was more like a shrug-and-keep-reading moment.
WOW we're having an entire conversation in your comment box. XD
DUDE my mom is going to let me buy a real freaking ninja sword for Heather's Halloween party...
I'm SO excited! It's an entire Alien-inspired party this year. I wanna see all the alien eggs that she's made...
Btw, what/who are you going as this year? -
-
ALIENS?!
I can now die happily.
Oh,I have no idea. Any input? I thoguht about the poison ivy costume, but it might be taken a little wrongly when Luke shows up as the joker.... -
-
You spelled "aliens" wrong.
Weirdo. Jk.
Oh yeah I forgot about that...lol...
He'll look sooo creepy.
Why can he pull everything off!?
Makes me hate perfect people.
Like Tatiana.
-_- Poor girl, we need to stop talking about her...haha...
running a steamroller over her face.. -
-
Yeeeeah –
That would be a little awkward, because Poison Ivy has had ‘indiscretions’ with both Batman and The Joker. (Hey, at least I’m not Cat Woman!)
…wait.
I’m sorry, I must be a little crazier than I was a few seconds ago – did you just call Luke and I perfect?
-
-
....maybe?
-
-
Bull.
Don't be stupid Natalie - we're too much alike for perfection.
-
-
Ehhh. Whatever.
Dude i've written...3? more poems. Go read them. Now.
...Welcome back XD
