"Jen, I'd like you to meet Jason Kegel. He's from the D.C. office. Corporate assigned him here to work with on the Steenburg account. Jason, this is Jen Miller. She's one of our best analysts and a complete whiz with a computer."2
I stood up to shake his hand, and when I did I had to resist jerking my hand away. It wasn't that his hand hurt mine or anything, but there was something like a tingle that went up my arm, almost like a very mild bump of my funny bone. I figured that I had tweaked a nerve a bit when I stood up.3
"It's nice to meet you, Jen," he said while shaking my hand. "I look forward to working with you." He said this in a perfectly friendly manner and with casual professionalism, but the way his eyes looked into mine gave me the creeps. For one thing his eyes were a deep blue, almost purple, and I might have thought that he was wearing colored contacts if he hadn't been wearing black-rimmed glasses, the kind you might see on a too-hip record store clerk. The other thing that bothered me was how he seemed to be looking through me somehow. It wasn't that he seemed to be looking behind me or something, but rather that it felt as if he were looking into me.4
I let go of his hand and sat back down. "Thanks. It's nice to meet you as well," I said. "Are you here permanently?"5
"Well, as of now, the plan is to stay until project is finished, and that should take about six months. The bosses got me an apartment right down the street from here with a six month lease, so I'm sure they plan to get their money's worth out of me."6
"That's nice of them. Again, it was nice to meet you, Jason. If there's anything you need, feel free to ask." I said this as poliely as possible, but I really just wanted to be left alone to get back to work.7
He smiled and said, "Thanks, Jen. I will." And with that, Marcia showed him to his cubicle across the room. I watched as they walked over there, glad to be rid of them. As Marcia showed him a few things, I watched them as they talked, and then noticed with a start that he was looking back at me and smiling. I quickly grinned and turned back to my work. I don't know what it was about him, but even though he appeared completely benign, deep inside me I had an urge to flee his presence. After a minute, though, I convinced myself that I was being silly and focused my attentions on my project.8
The rest of the day went by without incident. Then with about fifteen minutes before going home, I noticed someone standing next to me. I looked up and saw that it was Jason. I got the same urge to flee once more, but I simply said, "Hi, Jason. Do you need help with something?"9
"Oh, no, I have everything I need. This office is just like D.C. I was wondering, though, if maybe you'd like to go for a drink after work."10
I nearly laughed, surprised that he would try to ask me out. "Um, no thanks, Jason. I'm having dinner with my boyfriend tonight." When I said this, I put a mild emphasis on the word "boyfriend" to make sure he knew I wasn't available tonight or anytime soon.11
"Oh, well," he replied with a grin, "I'll see you here bright and early tomorrow. And if I don't see you before you go, have a good night. And sweet dreams."12
I rolled my eyes as he walked back to his cubicle. I hoped he got the message and would set his sights on someone else from now on. A few minutes later, I gathered up my things and went home.13
It was a relief to get home. Mondays are always exhausting, this one especially. My boyfriend Mark was already home when I got there, and when I walked in he said, "Hello there, beautiful" and gave me a big welcome home kiss. "Look what I got us."14
I could see that he had just walked in the door with bags of take-out from the new Thai place around the corner. I said, "Oh, that is awesome! I was so not looking forward to cooking tonight." It was true; all I wanted was to have dinner, watch some television, and get some sleep. The night worked out as I hoped. The food was great and I got to relax on the couch in front of the TV with Mark. When it was time for bed, I was ready to just collapse on the bed and snooze, but Mark was feeling a bit frisky. Even though I wasn't really in the mood for sex right then, I went along with it and had fun, but it was pretty much all for him. It was a very basic roll in the hay. When Mark climaxed, I knew we were done. Mark is a very good lover and wanted to get me off, but I gave him kisses and told him I needed to sleep. He knew better than to argue, and soon we had the lights out and went to sleep.15
Mark nodded off before I did, probably thanks to his post-coital glow. It took me a little longer, but I slowly drifted off to sleep. I look back now and still remember the dream I had that night very vividly. I was sitting at a bar in a restaurant near work that I go to sometimes. There were glasses in front of me and strange, trance-like music was playing, and everything around me seemed to be moving in slow motion as if the air was very thick. My head turned slowly to the left, and I saw Jason Kegel from the office sitting on the stool next to me. I opened my mouth to say something, but no words came out. Jason's hand moved to his face and he put a finger in front of his mouth as if to tell me not to talk. His eyes seemed even more purple than before and again seemed to be looking into me. I tried to get away from there, but I was unable to make myself move. It was if I was paralyzed. Jason continued to stare into my eyes, and then he reached down and slowly turned the seat of my stool so that I was facing him. Then I felt him place his hand on my knee. I looked down and saw that I was wearing a thigh-length skirt and that his hand was just below the hem. His fingers then started slowly moving under the fabric. I looked up at him and saw him smiling back at me. My mouth was wide open, but no sound at all was coming out. As his hand got further under my skirt, I managed to press my legs together, but as soon as I did, his other hand spread them apart with almost no pressure at all. I glanced around the bar, and although there were other people around, no one seemed to notice what was happening. The music was getting louder with a low throbbing bass beat, and his hand crept further up my thigh, softly kneading and stroking my flesh. I looked at him, and he nodded while smiling at me, and he said, "It's happening." No words came from me when I tried to ask what he meant, but then I understood when I felt myself responding sexually to his touch. My eyes widened as I felt the arousal spread through my body. The music was becoming more intense and he bent forward and put his mouth near my ear. At that moment he slid his finger along the crotch of my panties and grazed my clitoris as he said, "I like that shirt."16
With those words, I woke up with a gasp and sat bolt upright in bed. I was terrified and breathing heavily, and Mark immediately asked, "Are you okay, Jen?"17
"I...I'm fine. I just had a bad dream."18
"You scared the shit out of me when you jumped like that. What were you dreaming about?"19
I remembered it all as clearly as I do now, and I almost told him, but not knowing how he'd react, I decided not to. Instead, I lied and said that I dreamt that dogs were chasing me. I was still keyed up with an adrenaline rush, and worse, I was still terribly turned on. Everything in my body felt as if I had been interrupted while right on the edge of an orgasm. My nipples were hard and I was completely wet between my legs. Under different circumstances I would have jumped Mark's bones right then and there, but I was still too scared to even think about having sex at that point. Then Mark said, "Jeez, the alarm is about to go off. We should just get up. Why don't you hop in the shower while I make us some coffee." I agreed, and I shakily made my way to the bathroom, and turned on the shower. I set it for hot as usual, but I decided that I needed something a little colder today. I got in and I heard mark outside the door.20
"Jen?"21
"Yeah?"22
"No more Thai food for you."23
I had to chuckle. If I was going to have dreams like that, I'd never eat Thai again. 24
The shower did me a world of good. It managed to wake me up and calm me down. I told Mark that he might be right about the food giving me nightmares, and he said that there might have been dog meat in there. We both cracked up at that, but I knew, though, that it really was more due to my being creeped out by that new guy Jason. I knew I'd see him at work, but I knew I'd be fine since there was no chance in hell that I'd tell anyone about my dream.25
After breakfast, Mark and I kissed each other goodbye and went our separate ways. I would have liked to have taken the day off, but I wasn't sick and there was definitely plenty of work that needed to be done. I got there right on time, and everyone was already there, including Jason Kegel. When I looked over at him, I saw that he was looking over at me and smiling. A chill ran through my body when I saw him. I hadn't pictured his face since right after I had woken, but seeing him at work brought it all back to me. I forced a grin onto my face and sat down in front of my work station. I was was getting the computer started when Jason walked over to me and said, "Good morning, Jen. Did you have a good night's sleep?"26
"Yes, and that's good because I have lots to do today. Do you need anything?"27
"No, I'm all set. I should get back to work. I have plenty to do too." He turned to walk away and stopped and said, "I like that shirt, by the way."28
My head snapped around to look at him much too quickly, and I saw him smiling that smile at me. I know I must have appeared shocked, but he didn't seem surprised at all by my reaction.29
"Thanks," I said. I turned back to face my computer screen. I kept thinking to myself, "That was too weird." It was like he knew. Since I hadn't breathed a word about anything to anyone, I decided that it had to have been a coincidence. It still threw me for a loop, though.30

Solid
I think this story is really going somewhere. Very enjoyable. -
Awsomeeeeee....
I lovvveeeeeeed it. Im guessing since the title is 'Jason and Jen', that Jason and Jen end up together? Its very well written and has a good plot! Lmao, I love how you made Jason seem like some kind of creep-slash-seductive guy... Oow I shall go to your profile to find more!!!!

-
Jen was confused but was responding well according to the situations(s). Mystery guy Jason surprised with, "I liked that shirt...."
I think Mark's role should not be passive. Nice one.

I think you have a great start here! Your characters are intriguing and I definitely want to know what happens next. I'm leaving on a short trip this week but will definitely check back when I return to read the next few parts.
BTW, thank you for reading and commenting on my story. :-) -
This isn't usually my kind of reading, but it kept me reading to the end. So Good job. I think this is an excellent start for a longer story or even if you wanted to leave it right here. It does need some more character development between Kevin and Jen. In real life things can go on a because I told you basis, but in stories we like things to have reasons and make sense. The one paragraph that includes Kevin is like an after thought to what she was thinking about the whole time. Which is to say 90% of the story is about Jason and Jen, and Kevin is an after thought, a piece of cardboard thrown in to artificially keep Jason and Jen apart.
I think if you expand on that you will have a tension that will build more anticipation and symapthy with Jen.
Just my two cents on the matter, hope it helps. Still a good story with some believable character interactions. -
I rather enjoyed this story! I'm usually not a fan of first person point-of-view because not many people can pull it off, but you did an awesome job! I can't wait to read the other parts!! -scurries to hit next-

this seems supernatural! Very creative, I hope you continue it!

Good story
I think you have a good plot going there. I would like to see what happens next. I think a little more description of Jason would add to the story. You mentioned his eyes a few times and I wondered what the rest of him looked like.

-
definitely interesting. keep going.
-
Wow, a very different, sexy story that gave me a chill when I finished! I love how you portrayed Jason as a bit of a pervert, your descriptions are so deciciously vivid (especially the dream Jen had). The guy sounds like someone who'd stare at you funny on a bus or something, and you end up dreaming about being sexually intimate with him...really awesome. I hope you make more of this stuff because there sure is a lack of it!

This is cool, like something off the sci fi channel, an old Outer Limits or Tales from the Darkside. He must be one of those guys who can invade her night conscience. Is this it? Does more happen here?

Thanks. I see the story as erotic science fiction fantasy. If you haven't noticed yet, there are parts two and three already written and posted. I figure that there will be two more parts before I'm done.
