Sunrise/Sunset

The waves crashed slowly upon the shore,1

As sea gulls flew low, looking for food to eat;2

White cottony clouds covered the sunny sky,3

As the sun smiled her first "Hello!"4

A beautiful day had begun.5

Now the glassy waters are quiet,6

And again the gulls, searching for fish;7

All the clouds have blown away8

To make room for the twinkling faces of stars;9

The sun now sets so the moon can rise10

and let Mother Earth sleep another night.
