GattonDweller

I chose the name GattonDweller for a few reasons, the simplest being; I live in the small country town of Gatton. While this would be a sufficient reason to choose such a name, its meaning is much more complicated.1

With the dictionary you advised me to buy I looked up the meaning for 'Dweller' and it reads, 'to live or stay as a permanent resident; reside'. Now again a simple meaning to my name would be that, due to the fact I am a child, I'm not planning to leave Gatton anytime soon, thus being a permanent resident, a dweller. But as I previously stated, there is much more meaning behind it.2

My parents are somewhat overprotective, yes every teenager thinks so and they are just protecting me but nevertheless, I am confined to a block or so of my house. A permanent resident of Crestview Ave, a dweller of Crestview.3

So you're thinking, 'Why not CrestviewDweller?' An obvious reason being when accompanied by and adult I may then venture beyond the threshold that is South Street and explore the small, and relatively boring, town of Gatton. Also, CrestviewDweller sounds rubbish compared to the musical essence of 'GattonDweller'!4

While I admit that Gatton isn't the most entertaining town, it is my home. It has been kind to me, for all 14 years of my life, and after venturing out to for fill my dreams I aspire to return to a no doubt larger and more prosperous town of Gatton.5

In the slightly modified words of 'The Seekers', I am, you are, we are Gattonites! (I Am Australian - The Seekers)6

So, in close, not only do I, for the moment, permanently reside in Gatton, I want to stop living where I started.
